We did. Lin's offensive game was horrible tonight. Livingston was very impressive. Too bad White didn't play to his strength/talent. Disappointed D-Mo didn't get any minute. And Lamb definitely deserved to be yelled at by McHale.

But we still like Lin. :grin:

 

There were some instances where KMart made some really silly turnovers at the top of the key. He made up for it with his made 3s in the third quarter. I feel like Lin should be bringing the ball up the court on every possession.

 

Lin needs home crowds, tats it.

What I find disconcerting is the distribution of usage rate. Lin's is far too low for a PG who's supposed to be running the offense. Usage is behind pretty much all the starters and even Delfino.

 

No he shouldn't be bringing the ball up court every possession. The more guys that can run the fast break the better. If you grab the rebound bring then ball up (unless your Asik ). It makes it harder for teams to defend, prevents defense from just locking down one guy & it keeps guys engaged in the game. Guys don't value defense as much as offense. So if there reward for playing good defense & getting a rebound is brining the ball up then that is cool. It is a team effort right, not just the Jeremy Lin show.

 

Looks like out of our 3 rookies, we have one All-Star and 2 busts.

That's adding to Marcus Morris bust. The jury is out on D-Mo, since he's European.

Not bad actually, if you look at past drafts. Next year we have plenty of cap room and Toronto's pick to add even more young talent.

Speaking of the rookies we got this year, how are you a bust when you have like no NBA games under your belt. Holy, the way that people toss out the word bust so negligently is madness.

 

It's preseason and ppl already said Lin should be a back-up...SMH.

TBH...too early to say TJ will be a ALL STAR. Im TJ fan but no...he is not there yet.

come on now, really, lets be realistic. Jones is solid, and our best rookie, but he will not make a run at the ROY title, although he may make the rookie / sophomore game.

he needs to shoot more? maybe...but this is McHale's team/system!!!

 

I think in the early months of the season he will in the middle of the NBA's Rookie Ladder - 4-6ish. They like picking a rookie who carries a bad team on their back these days or someone with super polish/flash. TJones isn't going to be either. But that said, he's relatively NBA ready for a rookie and because of that he'll be up there in the rookie ladder for a while, hence the "early run."

The same posters that say we shouldn't rejoice about a "preseason" win are the same posters that complain about PRESEASON woes. If you're going to take a preseason win with a grain of salt, why do you complain about something that should be EXPECTED? This is preseason so of course the team will make many silly turnovers, shoot badly and have brain farts in defense. Talk about hypocrites man.

It's pretty sad to see posters say something then completely ignore what they just said the moment it doesn't fit their point just to try to win an argument. Too much pointless debate going on in this forum because of ego.
