I have seen enough to believe you really are a hater. You sounded as if there was nothing else except scoring in a basketball game. Just don't pretend to be objective.

Right. The results of preseason games are meaningless because of fluctuating rotations and random substitutions plus no chemistry yet. Still, individual plays show a lot. When DMo can't set a proper pick that tells us something. Lin is making some worrisome decisions (i.e. running into the paint against 3 opposing bigs).

Expecting him to average 16 is not crazy. I'll bet that you'll eat your words when his shots start falling again (and it will). And stop with your condescending tone dude. It's clear you follow Lin to hate on him anyways.

Defensely Lin has been superb. He's averaging close to what, 3 steals a game?

Offensively is a whole another issue. Obviously Lin has not been looking to score all preseason. I think this is partly McHale's doing in trying to impart a "team" mentality. The other is Lin just trying too hard going to the basket like he did in the old days. The solution? Shoot some damn jumpers when you have the chance, Lin.

I agree with 1 & 2 which is essentially what I have been stressing. If 3 is true I hate it. He needs to be focused on all games blow outs or not. That is what separates the decent players from the better players. Unacceptable in my book. I also agree with what you said after 3.

In regards to other posts bahh this is loco. It is pre-season. The entire issue with Lin was that he had a small sample size of 25 starts and people are judging from FIVE PRE-SEAON (Not yelling just trying to emphasize) games. Quit with the double standards.

Dude. I am a fan of Lin and I've loved his defense so far. It's been good to great - he's staying in front and even boxing opposing bigs out for rebounds. Not to mention if he loses his man, he immediately goes for the steal (and more likely than not gets it). But that said, his shot is off. All I'm pointing out.

Yep, I agree. I think he's trying to learn his facilitator role better, I'm seeing improvement and positives in aspects of his game. He's making better decisions and fewer cringe worthy turnovers from the first game to this game (though he was forcing things a bit much in the 4th q this quarter causing turnovers). Obviously his shooting is far from inspiring so far, and his finishing ability hasn't been great recently, but his overall game has been decent in helping the team get the W, not awe inspiring but it's pretty early to panic now.

I just don't see Lin as a guy who'd lose confidence. But yes, shots do come and go and I'm sure he'll find it. I'm not too worried, more puzzled if anything.

Don't you understand this is what haters do best talking about the small sample size thing?

Great posts so far, but I disagree. He can't drive into a crowd and expect to get a foul call. He's got to take the shot given to him. He hasn't been. He's got to keep shooting until it starts falling. I know when I lose confidence, everything snowballs. And Lin is clearly an emotional type of player who feeds off of his good plays and that is why you often see him struggle in bunches or excel in bunches. He's gotta hit those shots.

More importantly, as Roxxy mentioned several times, he's gotta continue to keep up the great work on the defensive end cuz forget all the noise, the defense exhibited in preseason is not gonna disappear come regular season and that is gonna be what keeps us winning.

Expect more of this Arthur he has 28 starts. I am not looking for instant succes nor should you (your better than that). Your one of my favourite posters and your more often than not fair. In this instance I think you are not being fair. There are going to be games where he makes dumb decisions the point is does he cut that down as the season progresses. Remember he hasn't even played against every team in the NBA yet lol. Just you wait.

Yes, I too like Lin's boxing out on rebounds and how he navigated the screen set by Lopez for Vasquez with relative ease.

You call yourself a fan, but you acted like otherwise in your other posts. If you are not a hypocrite, then there must be something wrong in your head.

Lin needs to shoot more when he is open. He is passing up open shots for some reason. He needs to shoot and then maybe he can get into some sort of rhythm with his shot. It's really worrisome. I was at the game tonight and he looked to be limping at times. I really think his knee is bothering him more than he is letting on.
