    Granted it's against a Hornets team without 3 good players but defense looks a lot better from what it was a week ago.

    Is this going to be the story of the Houston this season?

    Not so good first half and phenomenal third quarter?

    Last year was a different story.

    lin's cuts are looking sharper at the top of the key. He goes around the pick and cuts back across the free throw line, it is the sharpest he has looked this pre-season.

    Asik is way better than advertised.

    The 3-ball can be deceptive, but there's a lot to like. While I hope the first half won't always be that rough, it's nice to know that the team makes good halftime adjustments.

    In the second half, every play in offense was initiated by Lin's penetration. That's his value to this team.
