I gotta say that Yao played a solid game after the 1st quarter. He defensive presence was awesome. This is one of those games where McGrady dominated on the offensive end while Yao had his better game on the defensive side. Plus 6-7 offensive rebounds! And if Padgett keeps this up...team MVP :p Good job Rockets!

I have been saying we should get Dickau for a couple of years, I believe Sam Fisher was saying he was garbage.

Sometimes it just takes some time, or a player to get an actual chance.

Dickau can play and is a better PG than anyone on the Rocks.

I would give him close to 4 mill a year.

4 million? And this is along with the full MLE that you were prepared to give Eddie Griffin, right? Now this is the Cato-esque kind of contract Carroll Dawson would love!

He was garbage before this year, actually, he was garbage before this month that's why he went to NO with the rest of the trash players in the league like Nachbar, after he couldn't even crack the lowly Hawks depth chart. Last chance boys!

Some capitalize, most don't. You think Boki will sit next to Macej Lampe on the plane back to Europe after training camp next year? :p

The least favorable: the first from the left on the last row.

Hey now the jury is still out on Boki, though you are looking better and better each game.

As for Dickau, he is a player, much like Ridnour...smart timely shooter.....good ball handler.

4 million is a mid to low contract...in the Carlos Arroyo range.

    as i recalled,
Dan Dickau played ball with John Stockton at Gonzalga
so he may have picked up a few things from the great one

Not sure you want to bring up Arroyo after he was just jettisoned, but I sould take him over Dickau any day, even though I am not a big Arroyo fan.

He's picking up 3 assists this year on 2 TO's, his long range shooting has been excellent this month, though he is at 32% from beyond the arc on the season, but you're going to give him 4 million a year for a multi year deal? That's way, way too much. He needs to show a bit more for that kind of $$$. Hell, Sura does more and he only makes 3.2m.

Maybe I should clarify....IF he keeps it up the rest of this year. Then I would go after him, if he fades into oblivion when Baron Davis comes back, I might offer him a smaller contract.

    Last Five games

    He has been averaging 19.8ppg 6.2ast shooting 47% overall and 36% 3pts

If he keeps that up, he is well worth it.

brian: are you sure when you say "i have been saying we should get Dickau for a couple of years" you don't mean "i haven't said anything about him at all until now?"

    peter: oh yeah.

Played ball w/ Stockton? So, I guess that makes Dickau about 40? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant pick up games, however, to call Stockton "the great one"? I'll give you yet another benefit of the doubt and assume you meant "the great flopper".

LOL! I was thinking that too!

I remember the last game we had against Sacramento and Yao and Tracy played VERY well. Even though we lost that game I thought we were making progress..

hopefully if they play the same way and our roleplayers step up we can certainly steal a W

I think you meant Brain, but whatever, I am sure Sam remembers our talk about it.

I'm glad Yao finally got his shot back..he was in a terrible slump for like 6 games and I was bit worried..he usually has those kinds of slumps every year but January seemed a bit early...

I'm glad he finally got his outside shot back and its nice to see him knock down 20 footers

Family Guy reference with Brian the dog.

peter says he read a book about something and brian says "are you sure it was a book, are you sure it wasn't nothing?"

episode was just on last night so i had it handy.
