i don't believe harden didn't trust lin. it's about mind set. harden scored a lot especially in the late of the game. to the point, he kinda believed he could score those too. he overdid a little bit. the older you get, the smarter you are. it's all about playing smart. i believe he will improve in this area.
his defense crapy, especially his defense under the rim. he didn't block wade from getting that critical OR. he was standing but didn't put his body on wade.
I'm thinking that asik is improving. I think he's the key. Lin is also playing well and I'm thinking Lin ends up being a 18/8 guy by seasons end which is not far from where he's been over the last 4 games. His numbers have been improving. I like this team. If and when asik can catch and finish he will an all star and this team will be very very tough. They can score...
No. I thought the ball moved pretty well throughout the game until the panic minutes (last few minutes of close games). We've seen this throughout the season and it hardly turns out well. I'm addressing a pattern that I'm seeing, which I also saw in this game. Again, not criticizing Harden for going into hero mode; not saying he's selfish. I'm saying that it's a pattern most likely because we have no clue how to finish close games except giving it to Harden and have him go into hero mode. We are not trusting what kept the game close in the first place. it wasn't as if Harden single handily brought us back from being 15 down or something. It's about the last few possessions where we tend to panic. My suggestion is that I hope we have some plays we can run in these situations to make sure the ball moves and we get decent looks. It doesn't look like that's the case right now whether it's because mchale wants them to figure it out for themselves or not, i have no idea.
I don't blame him, We don't have a Robin. If Lin wants to be Robin he need to show it on the court, and do it consistently then maybe Harden might trust him more.
yeah i also thought he played well the past few games and i like what i see from him. seems to be in control most of the time, and know when to shoot and when to pass. very smooth looking player.
Agree. he trusts lin plenty. it really is a mindset - he gets hot and into a tunnel vision mode where he thinks he can either score or get a foul anytime he takes it to the rim. he needs to learn when to go and when to throttle back in tight games where every possession is critical.
That's not the reason why. I bet anything Harden trusts Lin and his shots as well as the rest of the starters. The reason he took more shots is because he was hot. The whole team knows it and that's why they give him the ball to shoot whether he was contested or not. Harden also knew he was hot and that's why he didn't hesitate to shoot because he was that confident that he will beat his man. If he really didn't trust Lin there would be hesitation and he would do dumb things like drive against 5 defenders.
Parsons is more of a Robin than Lin, Lin is more like the random hero from another series that shows up once in a while.

...and now you see from my post above that I hinted or implied "Wade is NOT a much better player than Jeremy"?
