Harden did played good defense yesterday and so did Lin against Chalmers and Coles. But sometimes Harden get reckless like driving in 1 against 3 and turnover. he need to sometimes step back and relax set the offense up.
Missed the game last night. Expected them to win especially because my 1st ever post in this forum was the first in this thread. But given the general reaction from the fans here post-game, I'm not too terribly disappointed...Thanks Houston for the spirited and valiant effort... I still love this club...Soldier on, Houston.
That's not "my" definition. That has always been the definition of isolation. Why are you being so stubborn? I showed you the definition of wikipedia's isolation and you insist that it's incorrect. Why don't you find me an internet definition of isolation that fits with your definition. That is, isolation is NOT when a player tries to take on the opposing defender 1v1 and the team does NOT get in his way.
Wow, you guys are arguing like there's no tomorrow! I think both your arguments have some merits to it, but the bottom line reason why we lost is because it was an away game on the tail end of a b2b. Unless we play an elite team after at least one day's worth of rest, I wouldn't even bother looking into it any deeper than that. We were one step slower in everything. We were not as fast as we were when we played the warriors or any other team where we had at least one day's worth of rest. You can blame David Stern for that. For setting it up so that Miami would have 10 more wins than everyone else in the league because they always get the rest plus receiving teams that were on the tail end of a b2b. ISO plays vs team ball. I take team ball any day, but like one of you poster's said, they double teamed Lin and forced him out, so ISO ball was kind of unavoidable. Simultaneously, Lin could have been more effective if he and the rest of the team had more rest. 2pat had much fewer rebounds, and I think it's because of the previous day play. The last time we played SAS, it was on a THIRD game in 4 night stretch. The last time we played OKC, it was a tail end of a b2b, PLUS it was a 4th game in 5 night. We played Miami, a pretty darn good team at the tail end of a B2B. It would be difficult to say whether or not the Rockets can beat these 3 teams on regular night where both teams are rested. Until that happens, take your ideas w/ a grain of salt. I think we can beat any of these teams when we are rested. Come playoff time, I'm optimistic and think we can beat any of the teams. There are no b2b during the playoffs. No one has the advantage w/ that part. The thing we got to watch out for is the refs. Anyways, have a good day guys.
i wasn't expecting the rockets to beat miami but they coulda tied the game or even win it. james harden was on fire and rockets would've had 1 more possesion to end the game if james harden made that 3 or 2 but he got slapped in the wrist by d wade. that was a blatant foul. these refs love miami. I saw so many charges drawn by miami in 1 game. unreal. and several times their feet weren't even set. these bs refs.. rockets could've won if not for these 3: 1. d wade offensive rebound and scores. wtf.... there was 2 rockets trying to grab d reb and d wade gets it. 2. james anderson TO - charge on a fast break 3. harden - fouled by d wade i can't really blame this loss on any1. but how can people blame this loss on lin? his impact was minimal, 32 minutes of play and only 2 turnovers. his usage rate was only 20%. so what else you gonna say? if you look at usg rate around the league, 21% usg rate or lower these players only score like what 12-14 points per game. I'm looking at a wide variety of PG's and their past and that's like their average pts a game. so for these so called haters looking at jeremy lin as the culprit and for him not being "aggressive" look at other players who have a low usg % the same as he and how others score now with there usg% up. lower usg% = minimal impact. I know several players who were no names last year but now everyone knows who the ---- they are with usg%+.
Why was James Andersen on for so long at the end We need Chandler on the court.... Andersen was useless...and had two crucial turnovers in the fourth.
This sums it up why we need an upgrade on our front court, especially against top teams and for the playoffs. If the front office decides that this season is good enough just for our team to gain some experience in the front round postseason, then they will wait till offseason to make a move for an all-star PF. What do you guys think? Should they make a move by deadline?
usg% is not what you think it is. It is more of a sign of how much someone shoots the ball rather than handles the ball. So if Lin has low usg%, it just means he doesn't shoot the ball alot.
er no one else was doing jack.... Harden played amazing and you're criticising him!! JLin was shook yet again....His body language was timid, his crossovers were slow and he didn't have a good game. Compared to the swag he had had against Golden State when he was pulling out behind the back crossovers, etc.
