1. Lin vs heat is partly on lin but mostly on coaching staff. If you know that they have used this against Lin before, the its upto coaches to help the team break the trap by designing plays. You run that play successfully 2~3 times straight and the Spo wont use that anymore. 2. We lost the rebounding battle because they made so many shots, and even when they missed, our defense had been scrambling so we were out of position. The only way to beat the Heat is if you KILL them on the boards and make your threes. If championship is on our radar, then we must get a GREAT rebounding pf and just collect more possessions the heat to neutralize their effeciency and supreme quickness. 3. We are still playing relatively well, despite our loss to Denver and Heat, both superior teams. We need to cut down on the mental lapses and silly mistakes. That is the difference between a team like ours and the Spurs. They dont make our mistakes. 4. I dont know if Harden can be a #1 option on a championship team but he sure proved tonight that he can hang with The Lebron and Wades of the nba which is good enough for me for now.
Anderson is a guard, so I'll excuse him for not rebounding enough. Parsons, Patterson, Morris & Aldrich combined for a total of 7 rebounds. Harden had 12 while Haslem who is 6'8 235lbs had 13 rebounds. The front court really needs to put in more effort on figting for the ball. I'm surprised Aldrich who was awful on both ends of the floor gets some pt while Smith was DNP. What happen to him?
No we didn't. We had assists and activity off iso, which was an improvement off one person trying to go at it, but the ball carrier was consistently on an island. I can count the ******* screens for the on-ball man on one hand.
Meh, it's really our inability to execute plays. If you look at any out of bounds plays that we run, noone ever executes them properly on our team. Timing is all off, screening is all off, passes are all off, etc. It all seems very rushed. You could tell that play was to get the ball into harden's hands, which is why Lin was looking but it seemed like there was some sort of mistiming/miscommunication because Asik(?) ran across and it looked all sorts of confused
All that lets people know is that the Rockets are just one solid piece away from being a contender...
It's fine to lose to those top teams, as long as we take care the rest of the business and make the playoff
I don't get that same feeling about these games. Miami never seemed really threatened. It seemed pretty easy for LeBron and DWade tonight.
Talent across the board separates the Rox from these teams. However, I'm still troubled with the Rox being win-less this late in the season against elite teams. Rox in recent years, even though they didn't have star player like Harden would still win a game every now and then against a an elite team.
What game were you watching? Harden only took 16 shots throughout the entire game, and we had 3 other players who took more than 10 shots. We had ball movement, we scored over 100 points and had 5 players in double digits. We had plenty of good looks and the team was moving well tonight. I think it's insane to claim Harden was playing iso ball throughout the entire game.
I believe no matter how great of a player you are if you top off at 6'4, he can't quite be a Lebron James team on most nights.
He tried to pass to Lin, but ended up drawing a charge. His pass by intercepted by Lebron anyways. He just should've passed sooner.
We had a close loss in an away game, in a back to back, against the rested reigning champions. I'm satisfied.
