The hell it isn’t. Why was Nix in the game? Why do the Rockets young players lack so much situational awareness.
Silas didnt want them to switch per his presser, so Jalen was one of the only players involved in that play that did EXACTLY what silas asked them to do. Anyways, out of all the options on the team why would you have jalen guarding the rim??? Either way you view this it is a Silas failure.
winning this game...because this is basketball and this is sports...you play to win and score more... buddy it's a shame you are new to the idea of less is more if we didnt have jalen green or/and KPJ alperen sengun would have broken out already as a superstar instead we had to hold him back an nerf him down for these 2 to shine if you are so desperate for wemby and the rings why dont you go and buy yourself a replica at ebay... you really think you would have enjoyed rings if given to you on silver platter eg you bribe the refs and they give you the games and the rings? LOL nets had harden kyrie and durant and win only 1 measly playoffs series lololol imagine now how stupid glorifying wembanyama looks?
Fixed it for you. We need to start being real about what's at stake with wins and losses the rest of this season, The best case is that the Rockets have a 14% chance of getting Wemby (i.e,, very unlikely). The worse case is 12.5% (also unlikely). I'm still happy getting that extra 1.5% chance, but in reality it's not making us likely to get that first pick. I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 7. That's are chance of the #1 pick if we finish in the bottom 3. I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 8. That's are chance if we finish 4th. We're something like 9 to 10 games out of the fifth worst record, so we don't need to worry about finishing any better/worse than 4th.
Some things are out of The Rockets control, being the worst team in the league does not guarantee anything but perspective is still very important. Winning the last two games makes about as much difference as losing them. There was nothing to gain. I rather lose the game than have Nix accidently tumble and fumble his way onto Butler's path creating enough disruption to kill the play. Did The Rockets win then because they were good? What did they learn? Nothing. Winning the game would have taught them nothing. Losing the game did. Yeah, no one is a straight lock for getting Wemby. Does not matter how much you lose. However, right now there is probably 0 incentive to win.
The NBA is a business first, to you its basketball. Its competing, its defense, good footwork, flashy passes and layups. To them its a product and numbers. Every team is run different but with a set goal in mind that gets them what ownership and management really want despite how much you ethically feel. The choice for The Rockets right now is to lose, yes the higher ups want in incompetence on the bench with both players and coaches. The reason is clear as to why. Every team does it. The Rockets aren't establishing a new precedent. This isn't new. They have a gameplan that will take years to accomplish. You may hate it but it wont change the set goal.
Because they young duh… Nix is taking alot of heat but he actually had a good game.. the heat should be on Tate because he wanted to guard Jimmy and failed… that’s why post game Tate said it was on him - so F what everyone else says…the man was accountable
Stay home = stay on your man.. whoever you match up with .. that who you guard .. Jalen did that … Tate didn’t , Nix hesitated but his man running away from basket with .007 left isn’t a threat Tate said Miami likes to do call outs like switch switch and he heard that and thought it was Jalen or Nix but end of day he was supposed to stay on Butler no matter what
So it's official: Tate is at fault. Does anyone have a better angle of this play? The NBA can't see anything here. From the NBA 2-minute report: 00:10.8 To 00:07.0 Q4 00:06.2 Foul: Shooting Jae'Sean Tate Jimmy Butler CC Replay review of the foul called on Tate (HOU) pursuant to a coach's challenge was deemed unsuccessful. Tate reaches in and initiates contact to Butler's (MIA) arm, affecting his ability to gather the ball during his driving shot attempt.
The referees are covering for themselves. All that contact was by Butler and the arm hook should have been an offensive foul
Tate had to cover for Nix who didn't stay with his man. The blame is on Nix and Silas who had Nix in the game
False… you don’t leave MJ to cover Rodman… Miami called switch, Tate thought it was Nix but it doesn’t matter the coach said stay home.. that mean you stay with your man If Nix man scored it would be his fault
