I saw Miami play the other night. A lot of fast breaks and outlet passes. We must take care of the basketball. This should be a win.
As soon as we figure out how to response well on Yao being guarded regardless of the methods, such as fronting, double team, or, better, one-on-one, we can beat any NBA team with a doubt.
I am worried about this game, they have speed to kill.....and we are a slow, unathletic starting team. We must control the boards, and play smart ball to win...also, don't let Wade score 70 on us. DD
We can not guard Wade, that is sure, but they can not guard Yao, our PFs, even our guard, Brook, so we should win the game. If not, I suggest we should fire the coach first.
It is probably time for one of the classic Rocket's clunkers, but I am always hopeful. Artest on Marion might help, because he usually lights up the Rockets. Wade is in a zone and will run over Rafer for 40-50. If Rafer shoots 16-18 shots again, forget about it. Yao should dominate, but who knows.
Speed and having to control Wade,Marion,possibly Beasley will be very tough. Chalmers and Haslem have to be slowed down by Rafer/Brooks,Yao and Scolandry. Defense,moving the ball and shooting will be key. I hope we will pull through. It's going to be close. If McGrady has a strong game,I expect to win.
If Yao gets a lot of touches which result in shots then we'll do good If Rafer shoots a lot then we won't do so well, mainly because he misses so frequently which often result in a fast break for the opposing team..
blowout win for us, they don't have marion so beasley will get shut down and wade will hopefully have problems being guarded by artest, we just got to limit our turnovers so they can't push the break and play good transition defense.
I'm not sure if he is even coming back tonight and be honest with yourself. On Battier's first night back do you think he will lock down whoever he is guarding? If it his first game back he will be a little bit out of sync, just getting used to everything, i'd say give him at least 3-5 games to see the old battier return, not the first night
i expect a very close game. unless tmac can go wild. d-wade plays very very well lately. a test for our defense.
