What I like is how we get Yao the ball, get Yao the ball, and get Yao the ball. Yao has always shot such a high percentage, now we are giving him enough looks to get him the big numbers. And now even when Yao is doubled or tripled he often times will shoot in anyway because, well, he can make it with two or three on him often times. First McGrady elevated to dunk on you. Then McGrady elevated for his jumpshot. Now his emphasis is using his elevations to find open players. TMac is becoming more lethal IMO.
http://www.nba.com/games/20061112/HOUMIA/recap.html Didn't notice this but that's pretty sweet considering half the heat fans were out the door by the end of the 3rd. Was this organized here on the BBS?
How can we get the NBA to recognize that offensive rebound? He got it and shot it....... That makes 15 rebounds, not 14....is there a way to make them fix it? DD
it really pissed me off on how greg anthony and tim legler were just hating on the rockets throughout the entire game and then like around the end of 4th quarter, they start riding the rockets' jocks but barely. I hate these guys. They need to give the Rockets more credit. However, by the end of the season, i believe the rockets will make every doubter eat their words. hope chuck is just fine even though Juwan didnt play all that bad.
Also on a site note: How about the play from V-Span! ONE AND SIXTEEN, his minutes and seconds played. But get this: ZERO TURNOVERS! WooT!! Too bad Novak is now the only one without significant minutes.
You know, I heard them chanting during FT's in the game on the ESPN telecast. I heard them yelling "Houston... Rockets!!!" at one point and then, towards the end of the game, they were singing, "Nah, nah, nah, nah, Goodbye!" I thought it was funny. Sounded like the Rowdies were there!
Good game, nice win. T-Mac played great in the 2nd half, his shot wasn't falling, but he found other players for great looks especially down the strech when we put the game away. And these guys were in playoff mode. You could see it by how Shaq came out firing, Wade looking to drive, even Dorrell Wright was playing the defense of his life. But the real test is Tuesday, against the team I love to hate, the Spurs.
SI showing us some love: Yao dominates Shaq, Rockets roll past Heat http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/recaps/2006/11/12/20689_recap.html
legler even critized yao coz d wade had more O rebs than yao... DUH!!! yao has 10 total rebs! you dumbass! and chuck was the designated O rebounder...
ESPN.com finally has something up as a side note: Yao's 34 points, 14 boards help Rockets rout Shaq, Heat Yao Ming easily won his matchup with Shaquille O'Neal, finishing with 34 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Houston Rockets to their fourth straight victory, 94-72 over the Miami Heat on Sunday night. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=261112014
It's ESPN, Legler and Anthony are idiots. I'm certain this is the first Rockets game they've seen this season.
Oh yeah, I remember now. I see those seats were in the "end zone" to offset the cost of the plane tickets.
