I'll buy that. It's about how it went last season. We've got a lot of new cogs in the machine; it'll take a little time for them to mesh.

Just to reiterate what I already posted....

At this point I think you have to start Head or give him major minutes (25-30). Anderson has struggled along with the rest of our guards and in this scenario, when it's early in the season & you're still tinkering with line-ups: this is the time to do it.

People are mentioning something about needing a "closer." Who say's Anderson couldn't be more effective off of the bench? He's one hell of a scorer who is tough to guard one-on-one and is a streaky shooter. Those are the kind of bursts of offense a team with a good bench has.

Now i'm not going to go as far as to say he should remain a bench player when we're at full strength since T-Mac will likely elevate his level of play, but right now he's struggling & not getting the job done. We're staring in the eyes a roadtrip that couldn't get much more difficult and our team is DYING for some signs of life.

We have a great collection of talent and it's time we start taking advantage of it.

Exactly! I haven't seen any pass to Yao with the pick and roll. It was flawless with T-Mac/Yao though.

This is what reading the play by play in the chatroom can do to you. :)

I couldn't agree with you more. Guess we'd better make sure to save a few seats for when the winning streak gets underway.

    Thats what I say Magnetik,
HEY !!! We all love our Rockets thats why we are here...We just get so frustrated and that will never change...If you ever feel good about any Rox lose then you probably need to see a shrink...and if someone walks in front of the TV when a Rox player is shooting and he misses and you don't yell at the person who walked in front of the TV then you need to see a shrink. ALso try putting one foot on the bed and one on the floor when we need a basket.. oh wait a minute we are 1-3....not of that crap works ..oh well I'll find some other superstions.... :D

    you weren't watching the game.

It was also part JVG's fault because he should have told the guards to run the play where they give yao a backscreen. He scored on that possession. I mean, you can't post deep for long because the refs are always looking to call 3 seconds on us. THere's only a small window of opportunity to get yao the ball. The guards failed at it, plus they missed all their open shots. THey were getting wide open looks all night long. THe only one who capitalized was howard.

Not happy about the W, but hey, we're only 1-3 *lol*. THeres plenty of time, and the way yao played gave me hope.

p.s Head needs at least 15minutes a game this season, he's ****ing stud.

Teams don't care what Alston is gonna do with the ball. They know he can't shoot so all they want to do is keep him in front of him in regards to the PnR.

The reason it works so well with T-Mac is because of his size and ability to create unique shots & passes. Plus, the whole point behind the PnR is to use the ball handler as the decoy & while the defenders key in on the man with the ball the man setting the pick is cutting the basket. Unfortunately, with our dismal T-Mac less lineup, everyone keys in on Yao making that impossible.

Ugh. Another breakdown in the fouth, another sad loss. We fought hard though and Yao played well against a very physical defender. That's the good part. But why do teams constantly step it up against us down the stretch? Sigh.

Okay, now that I have it all out of my sytem I know we are going to be alright... I think we forget that:
    1. These are new guys learning a new system
    2. D. Wesley is coming off surgery
    3. Sura is out
    4. T-Mac is out
    5. And I really think losing a shooter like Padgett hurts us.
Seriously, Padgett was a smaller version of Bullard who could hit big 3's in the 4th.
We Will be fine when we get Chemistry and T-Mac back :)

it's ok. we started 6-11 last year and finished 5th place. I think the frustration comes out of the expection to fight for the 1st place with the Spurs. Realistically, I think 4th place is what we'd be looking for and it's quite achievable. We'll be back on .500 on Sunday, when I am at the TD Banknorth Garden.

I seriously don't think you understand the concept of a bandwagon. It's for people who pay no attention to a team until they start winning, and then jump on as fans.

It's not for people who care enough to post on a message board, getting over-emotional and still watching nearly every minute of the game.

Considering David Wesley actually made 2 shots in the 4th quarter tonight, it is even more sad that they lost.

In the end, the guard play has been horrible, but the PF position has been equally bad. Juwan plays better than Swift, in longer stretches, but is incapable of getting a rebound when it matters. Add in questionable coaching (how many times do the Rockets have to get burned because Jeff decides to double team the ball-handler just past half court - it just doesn't work) and missing your best player, and you are 1-3.

I don't want to see T-Mac risk coming back sooner than necessary, but climbing out of a hole, in any sport, is hard. I don't think they can afford to go 1-5.

I'm not questioning your passion about the team, only your glaring lack of judgment.

Yao got position long enough for the guards to completely ignore him and swing the ball around to the other side. Even when they were clamping down, Yao still had position long enough for a pass. Everyone who watched the game saw it, else the entire Clutchfans BBS wouldn't be complaining about it. Except you of course, cuz you didn't watch the game yet choose to open your mouth and confirm my suspicions of you being slow upstairs.

Everyone get pissed when the team F's up and looses, but it's a sad thing to see so many of you come on here and take it out on other posters. I hope the mods take notice of the repeat offenders and ban them. It just sucks coming on here sometimes. I dont even feel like commenting on the game.
