F YOU. I'm very passionate about the rockets and i watched every minute of this game. YAO set so many damn screens, he'd fight for position then he'd run off and set another one. He didn't stay down there long enough to get the ball, he'd try to get position, mourning would do a pretty good job on him and then he'd run off and set a screen and try to get a different position. I wanted to see him get the best position he could, stay there and then call for the damn ball if he is supposed to be our leader. So screw you man, don't accuse me of not watching the f-ing game!

Shooting is absolutely killing the Rockets right now. It wasn't until midway until the 3rd quarter that the Rockets even hit a 3 pt shot. Not to mention the ineptitude at the FT line as well. Until the guards can start knocking down open looks, this is the kind of result you will get. It not only affects FG% and points per game, but it closes up the interior for penetration and Yao.

Furthermore, if Yao is going to be used to set picks, then let him get the ball back for a 15 foot jumper that nobody in the league can defend. I really don't know why that isn't utilized a little more often. As far as defense goes, DA was the one being abused. JWill only got open because Anderson let Wade do exactly what he wanted on those screens, and Rafer was asked to help out. But, the bottom line is as soon as the guards start hitting open shots the Rockets will take off. They aren't playing badly in any other area at all(although the offensive rebounding could be a little better) but they can't close out teams because they can't make shots.

Guards lost this game for us. I don't blame Yao a bit. Well, I blame him for not yelling at our guards. Seriously, when you commit 20-sec violation 3, 4 times in a quarter, you are concerned Yao may fumble the ball?

We had an 8pt lead in the middle of the 4th qtr...thats so depressing. Seriously someone need to get on DA and Rafer for their piss-poor defense. Sure Yao was a little tired and out of position but I rather have him shoot the ball out of position rather then having someone else shoot. Another thing why ain't nobody run the pick and roll with Yao to get him free? He actually shot pretty well today from the base line.

If we had Dream back we would have won the title.

I think JVG should play Head at the 2. Wesley is playing horrible. Barry other than the first game has been turning the ball over and over again.

After having watched this game, I can say one thing for sure:

I am not worried about the Rockets.

Yao is making progress little by little. He's now averaging 20 points per game and 10 rebounds after tonight. He's only going to get better.

Derek Anderson's not bad. Sure, he missed shots, but he also made some tough ones.

I don't worry about Rafer or Swift, either. Just a few mistakes early in the season- they'll eventually get the hang of it.

What was really good was that they seemed to be passing the ball better (except for maybe the 4th quarter) and they were quick rotating on defense.

I would be worried if we were letting teams get 100 points on us, but they're not- for the most part, we're playing good defense. I would be much more concerned if we didn't have the defense. The shots will come. That's why Van Gundy doesn't seem too upset- I think he knows we're very close to turning this thing around quick.

We may lose to New Jersey, and we may lose to Boston- but we're gonna hit a winning streak soon- mark my words.

reasons why you don't lob the ball in a game even to a taller guy, when the ball is in the air like that, the defense has time to react and come over on the back end and swipe the ball away.

We just did a poor job again of getting the ball to Yao when he had position. Theres no reaosn for him to be out there setting picks if they're not gonna be rolling him to the basket. He sets the pick, and then does nothing else. The only purpose of him setting picks is so the ball handler can get the ball to somewhere else. Total waste.

While I agree with you only with a team WITHOUT T-Mac, I still don't think it was a bad move. Alston is doing exactly what he was brought here to do and that's distribute the ball. He is the perfect fit once T-Mac comes back.

My biggest problem with the game is that we didn't use PnR correctly. Pick and roll, if your center rolls, you suppose to pass it to him.

You're a serious idiot. He sets the screens because the COACH tells him to. IT's called running the playset. He doesnt do those things on his own. Calm down, and step back from the cliff

LMAO! Exactly, just reading this thread and other overreactions from posters here makes me laugh, especially since I KNOW that this team will be alright in the long run, and then the bandwagon will start filling up again...

You don't know jack **** about the game! There was no way Heat would allow Yao to secure a position and ask for the ball and not DT him before the pass, in the 4th. Our guards were bricking all over the place! The only way Yao could avoid quick DT is to change positions often. Until our guards can make shots, Yao will have to do that same thing from now on.

IMO we are playing good basketball some time we don't do the best ofensive play but we have t-mac out and this team is relatively new so the mistakes will come, stro play good 12pts 5 reb the problem (he's getting some bad calls ,some time he's not getting them too ,and he need to be in better condition i see them slow in the pick and roll, but hey is the staring of the season we have four games.
