With how tough the west is this year and how every other team in the west is playing, we won't even make the 8th seed at this pace. Big changes need to happen now! Morey should've just hired Thibbs in the offseason. He was the guy that got on Harden's ass in team USA.
This is the first time I have ever said this: Fire McHale. He has to go ASAP. Long I have supported McHale, but his ineptitude this season has been diabolical. Blame the players all you want, which I do as well (Harden has been disgraceful) but let's look at the facts: * The offense is pure garbage. PURE. * Ever since McHale has been here, we have been prone to horrible fadeouts such as this, this is a constantly reoccurring pattern under McHale. * Josh Smith got us to the WCF last year, not McHale. He bailed us out in several games throughout the playoffs. * With this roster this season, there really is no excuses. Not only are the players wilting under the expectation, but so is McHale. * Harden's beastly season last year masked McHale's deficiencies, he's been trash thus far (Harden) and now we are seeing the true extent of McHale's coaching prowess. AKA pathetic. * This not a knee jerk. Fire the man.

The reason is easy. The Rockets are HIGHLY dependent on the three point shot. It's that simple. They take an historical amount while being quite average at actually making them.
