That was the first game out of the All-Star Break though. A lot of teams came out and laid an egg, including the Rockets.
1 of 3 rotations will happen: #1) 9-man: Bev / Prigs Brewer / Terry Ariza / K-Pap Jones / Smith D-Mo #2) 9-man: Bev / Terry Brewer / KJ Ariza / K-Pap Jones / Smith D-Mo #3) 9-man: Bev / Prigs Brewer / Terry Ariza / KJ Jones / Smith D-Mo But if I were McHale, I'd rest everybody with age or heavy wear. I'd recall Capela & Johnson and go with this Poppavichian response to the Harden suspension: 9-man: Prigs / Johnson Brewer / KJ K-Pap Jones / Smith Dorsey / Capela
We need a bad cop, good cop backcourt tonight. Bev can play the bad cop. On the other hand Pablo Prigioni was never called an *******. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/k43XjuhInkU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yep. People ok "taking the L" should be shown the door. I want Harden To get the mvp too, but not if it means losing games.
Sorry to be such a negative nancy and not having faith in our roster but today will show everyone just how valuable Harden is to this team after we lose by 20. Clear front runner now. Enjoy the vacation beard!
We should see KJ now!!!! Imagine if Isiah was still here and STILL didnt play. Lol Mchale fed up with him.
we have a good chance to win this game. Our Defense will come through for us tonight. Brewer will have a good game
I don't know. I think if someone gets in foul trouble we might see him get a good chunk of minutes but I only expect spot minutes at the end of quarters right now
We're trying to get a high seed, what's with all this playing rookies and take a loss talk? It's just a back-to-back, our main guys outside of Terry & Prigs can still play 28-34 solid minutes!
I'm actually looking at the bright side if Harden doesn't get MVP. He's gonna have a bigger chip on his shoulder during the playoffs and next season. All the more reason that everyone should be rooting for a win tonight. I agree with previous posters that it's gonna take tight D, DMo post-ups, PnR, and 35-40 3PT%.
Its all about the D in this game. If Brewer starts, then D should be better than the Rockets avg (not to take away from Harden's solid D this season, but Brewer is a better defender) and the Rockets might have a chance.
Hawks are probably the best basketball team in the NBA. Tough game for the Rockets without Harden? But Rockets should have more passing and ball/player movements.
It should always be all about the D going forward. We have to get ready for the postseason starting now. I agree with starting Brewer. But starters are not going to have a true facilitator unless Smoove starts as well. And it is his former team so throw the guy a bone. Starters: Smoove D-Mo Brew Bev Ariza 2nd Unit: Prigs Terry KJ TJ Dorsey (would rather have Capela but it is what it is) Give Pap minutes too if he is ready. But we need to maintain the defensive instensity and pace on the second unit. Need to play KJ in the Brewer role.
