    My apologies, BrooksBall.

In the excitement of the win, I misread your post (#182).

    I misread it as:
"Only people with superior bball IQ can see that."

    What you actually said was:
"Only people with your superior bball IQ can see that,"
as I guess you were responding to someone else's post.

Missing that one word gives what you said a completely different meaning and made you sound like a pompous ass deserving of a nice smackdown, which prompted my post.

As it turns out, I'm an illiterate idiot. :(

My bad dude. Carry on with that thread of yours, the greatest reverse jinx thread in CF.net history.

The Raptors are making a game out of it minus Bosh.

It was tied a minute ago.

    Raptors 96
    Warriors 101

    5:01 left in the game

    It was a good win.

    Prior to this game:

Whatever. Second game. I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of the people hollering to fire Adelman, he doesn't know how to coach Yao, after the first two regular season games.

I know I have to write something in the thread. So that one day I could look back and remember today.

Does anybody know why Aaron Brooks was a DNP against the Hawks?

because it was a close game throughout with no garbage time opportunities.

unless Bobby J is in foul trouble, or injured, then Aaron Brooks is going to be a garbage time player for the rest of the season. Maybe Aaron will get spot minutes here and there depending on matchups, but PG is the most important position outside of your star players since they handle the ball the most, and Adelman trusts the veterans more, understandably.

That's not what I meant. I heard he was a DNP-CD on the game thread. Maybe that wasn't true.

Chuck was huge tonight. When Scola went down with fouls that was the telltale sign that it was going to be a low scoring game. Chuck and Deke in together limits our scoring punch but ups the any on D of course. And thats how we won. Did I see somewhere that the Hawks scored almost as many points at halftime against a team earlier this week as they scored at the end of four with us.

But back to the point. Chuck was huge. Huge tonight.

Any one of our four headed monster gets it going, and they have the other three backing them up. They feed of each other. TMac was talking about it in one of the post game interviews. Someone asked if this was the best Rocket team he has been on, and he said, well, (paused) maybe... and when he was pressed to explain why, he said that in the past they had had maybe two players that did everything necessary the intangibles necessary to win, and that this year they have, and he mentioned, battier, scola, landry, hayes... he mentioned we had four. our four headed monster. and guys, i am pumped to watch these guys play. its hard if not impossible to say you like watching them play and you aren't tied to whether they win or loose, because they all play so hard to win, and i'm loving the winning, we all are, but these guys have made a legit team from hard nosed fundamental team basketball - mad respect to them. esp for Hayes and his resurgence tonight. I credit hayes with the soul of the team tonight.

edit: I don't mention Tracy not because I don't value him, but because he is on a whole different level. Did you see Adelman said he is a "Magic Johnson type player"... I see what he is saying. Tracy is/ has been going that direction. JVG started him on that path and Tracy has run with it. I hope he get the MVP and he lets the four headed monster and rafer hold it up like HAkeem did back in the day...
