    maybe no. when the opposing team's best player "boasts" of dropping 40, expect some pride to kick in.

    I am ready to hear the reasons that Alston's lack of shooting won't affect the team in the playoffs. I know one thing, if I were the coach, he would never, and I mean never shoot a "teardrop" again. Never.

    i know...he got suckered into admitting he could...dan took it from there. any nba team can win on any given night with the right motivation. time to free vspan :p

    He didn't boast of anything. Dan Patrick requested that T-Mac make a guarantee to "drop 40" on the Hawks, McGrady refused to take the bait.

    For the casual Dan Patrick listener, he makes these routine 'guarantee' requests from most of the top scorers in the league (Kobe, Arenas, AI, etc).

    t-mac will carry the rockets in the 2nd half.and for the record t-mac did not boast about scoring 40 it was dp. t-mac is not gilbert..

    Games like these are when JVG should go to the bench. Bring in Snyder and why not play VSpan at the point. I believe he can do no worst then what Head plays. Jake should be the one to spell Deke not Hayes.

    Man, Dwyane Wade would have gone to the free throw line on both of those times Tmac went to the hole

    I don't understand how some guys receive such different treatment when they drive

    i agree about Snyder.

    When the other team boasts a bunch of athletic, young perimeter offensive minded guys...wouldnt it make sense to counter with an anthletic, young defensively minded guy like Kirk.

    Bonzi is giving us nothing right now. So give Snyder a shot...

    I agree with this. The defense is lacking tonight. Bonzi and Head are doing nada. Why not bring in Kirk, at least for an energy boost if nothing else..The team looks lethargic, except for Tmac and JHo..
