    ROFLMAO !!

Anyone can play great when the other team gives them wide open shots after wide open shot.

Or when the other team fails to play fundamental basketball and do things like....BOX OUT !!

The Rockets mailed this one in, it is games like this that make you scratch your head.

Too many loses to horrible teams.....

When you play a young team you got to come out and SMOKE em from the tip off.....play hard RIGHT away.

The Rockets were playing cousins basketball....here cuz...you shoot....now it is my turn, I will shoot.

    It was PATHETIC, and maddening......

JVG has been BANGING his drum in the players ears all year about complacency....and still we get so many games where the team just doesn't fight...

Just sad really....and the same thing could happen Sunday in Orlando.

I KNEW we were in trouble when I saw TMac's interview and he said..."Gonna go get some, ROAD KILL, with 2 winnable games" that right there said the team expected to win, but didn't have the mental toughness to actually play hard and make SURE it happens.

    DANG !

Since you are one of the biggest moaning turds around here, I am glad that you took offense. My "knee-jerking reaction" stems from my desire to see this BBS stop being a day care center for people whose basketball analysis begins and ends with the words "sucks," "fire" and "trade." These so-called fans are the first to call out other people's heart and intelligence when they never do so much as click a mouse when their little feelings get hurt about a basketball game. The ratio of good to so-utterly-horrid-that-they-subtract-brain-cells-as-you-read-them posts is like 1 to 50.

The lame offensive strategies really bite me when I watch Rockets games, the executions were normally horrendous in the closing seconds. With the game on the line and JVG pulling the strings, Rockets could rarely pull out a win, even with two stars. I am not concerned for the regular season but this is not enough to go all the way.

Silly B (that's not an endearing term in case you wonder), too bad this BBS doesn't just exist for self-flattering pompous ass such as you.

The other team is not going to make it easy on the Rockets to run the play they want, which is why we need other players who can create their own shot.

This game was lost on the defensive end though, the Rockets just flat out let the Hawks hang around and get confidence then it is a jump ball to see who wins.....

I wish the Rockets had a vocal leader out there like Sura.....this team needs a kick in the A$$ sometimes....and there is no one out there to give it to them.

We are tooooo relaxed in the game. I can tell it from the beginning. This is NBA and no easy game. You need to show your heart to win a game before you can actually do it. Terrible loss!

This is what bothers me. I know things will get better when Yao returns, but the Rockets lack of playmakers will be magnified in the playoffs, when things get bogged down for Tmac and Yao. Shut down Tmac, you essentially shut down the Rockets..

in the pregame, rafer also said that this game was guaranteed as long as they played okay... stupid play tonight. should have traded for chucky atkins...

as much as i love the rockets,
they cannot win a second round series in the west without more talent.

i think thats what bonzi is for... a guy who can create his own shot. snyder has the ability to create for himself also.

Bonzi doesn't fit.......he is too slow to be a factor, we need Snyder's athleticism.

I tivo'd the game and was watching the first quarter and told my wife that I knew right then that we were going to lose. We watched a movie, I went and checked the score and sure enough, we lost b/c of not playing defense.

You could tell in the first quarter that it was going to be one of those typical Rockets games where we play a bad team and decide to not defend...and we lose.

Glad I didn't watch anymore, though I am going to watch the JVG postgame comments

I hate when people say Bonzi can create his own shot. The guy is slow as molasses. He has a nice post up game, but he is so slow when he gets cut off he is rendered useless. That jumpshot of his is horrific.. Play Kirk please..

Dissapointing loss. However, I am very glad that tmac did not seriously tweak his ankle and same for alston not having a serious injury. I hope and pray that Yao rejoins a healthy roxs team and that there are no injuries in march/april and none in the postseason.

Good points. I think what JVG could have done is to bring in the guys who are eager to play, such as Snyder, VSpan, and JLIII. They could bring the energy to Rockets and motivate the starters. JVG is just not good at this. Too rigid, too much discipline, and lacking of smart ways of motivation. He may take Rockets deep in playoff but not a championship.

The Rockets could have used Snyder, but Van Gundy being himself, didn't play him, they had young, tall and athletic players, we could have used Snyder and played some defence, and not let Rafer guard Childress.
