No.....Josh Smith is an excellent player.

    Border-line allstar.

I don't really have the time, nor the inclination, to deal with another one of these "rofl camby sux at D lmao" people...

...but Smith is miles, nay, light years better on defense than Scola could ever dream of being. No amount of "but all he does is gamble for blocks and steals" is going to change that fact.

On offense, they might be about even in terms of scoring efficiency (Smith's been more efficient this year, Scola's been more efficient the last couple of years). But Smith's passing and court vision make Scola look like Zach Randolph.

I'm not trying to hate on Scola, I like him and he's a good player, but Smith has been absolutely dominant this year. He's arguably been the best player on that team, even better than Johnson.

But what if the lesson is that the Rockets win when you bet against them...? If that's true, you're screwing us over.

the Hawks is arguable the hottest team in the NBA right now...whos gonna defend josh smith from throwing down monstrous dunks?? Chuck Hayes??? J-Smoov will just rise above the midget and posteriZe him...

I expect the game to be close...but the Hawks will win in the end...

    Unless.....we get Tmac back!

I'll pick the Rockets in this one. It will be a game similar to the Suns game, only the Rocks will finish better. Close and hard fought, but the good guys prevail. One of these nights C-Bud is going to have a break out game. He is missing shots he ALWAYS makes. When they start falling, they are going to come in bunches. Why not tomorrow night?

I agree. What's taking him so long?! If he was any good, we'd have Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Tim Duncan on our team by now. What a failure of a GM.

I think the long road trip and 8 games in 12 nights has caused some fatigue, its a tough transition for a rookie to make, playing a heavy nba schedule. Hopefully, after the road trip, Chase will have time to rest and he'll get his legs under him and start knocking down the jumper on a consistent basis again.

J-Smooth gets NBA record 100 blocks, Ariza creates 1000 turnovers, we lose the game by 100. :)

He suits up because he wants to play and be a part of the team..
And for you information, he doesn't just jog around. He actually does a work out and participates in pre-game warm-up. Last game Feigen reported that he shot 70% from behind the arc with more than 20-30 attempts.
