Nobody is saying Yao > Hakeem. But to say Yao isn't dominant because he's not Hakeem is ridiculous. Yao Ming is dominant because if you don't double him, he will score on you easily. That's the definition of domination. You can't stop Yao if you don't double him.
The whole point is that Yao is dominate offensively when he is in his rhythm throughout the game and he is not defensively dominate at all. So overall I don't see him as a dominate player like Hakeem was because he is not dominate on both sides of the floor. If he was more dominate on defense... his defense would create more offense for other players but that is not his fault he just doesn't have those defensive abilities like that so why complain just accept him as he is... a great player but not dominate overall.
ANYONE JUST SEE VON WAFER GET DUNKED ON???? HINT: At least he TRIED to play some defense, not like some other players.
Didn't want to look through all 17 pages, but in case nobody has posted it yet, here's a link: http://www.justin.tv/sportime
Rox players are playing with heart and intensity and fighting hard. A win is unlikely but they will leave Atlanta with pride and dignity and a strong mental which is very very important in developing their young players. When Ron and Battier (hopefully also TMac) are fully recovered, Rox potential cannot be underestimated.
Hakeem will go down in the top 5 as far as centers.....so not being as good as Hakeem is not a bad thing at all **** being compared to Hakeem is good enough for me, He just needs some help that's all
