McHale should not start R. Brewer.

They'd do that if they had a reliable PG. Not a mediocre, unreliable, turnover prone, run of the mill average PG like Lin.

Blame the GM who gets the players.

There is a reason Lakers do not want Dwight. He is not as good as he used to be. He was not that great compared with centers like Dream, Shaq even in his prime.

Asik is smart, really smart. He is not going to get himself to be a scapegoat.
Asik saw this coming. By not playing, he protected his reputation.

Just saw the highlights. Ab and Lin at the same time. No facks given on defense. This was definately a coaching loss as usual. I enjoyed watching the scola and Hayes days more than this crap. We knew who we could beat and beat them. This team, who the hell knows if we can beat a crappy team.

this post is right on post. lin is developing and may one day be great for now what we have a is very good 6th man not a starting nba pg. when i look at oladipo i see someone who is a natural pg that makes mistakes but developing into what a high quality nba pg. same for lillard. unfortunately lin is really an off guard that learned the pg position on the fly due to the situation. it's too bad because i really want to see him succeed but tired of having to take up for the shortcomings.

Stupid post just plain stupid if lakers didn't want Dwight then why were they courting him when we were. Dwight denied the lakers it wasn't the other way around. When you post make sure you get your facts straight before talking out your behind. Asik is unprofessional if he isn't really hurt. Asik is nowhere near Dwight in talent level. If he is starting in place of Dwight we wouldn't even be in the top 8 in the west with all the injuries that have occurred unlike last year.

The PG situation will never be fixed. McHale and this org is poison to any PG worth anything. I'm betting Dragic and Lowry are glad as hell they left right about now. Not sure what PG in their right mind would want to come here and play in this offense.

I think Lin is starting to get fed up, his expressions and body language on court say as much. He's probably just going through the motions and praying for a trade at this point.

I agree. It looks like they were getting told to run that BS philosophy that morey loves. No midrange twos, play outside in, lay ups, just give it to harden every play. I can see why Bev got the starting job! he executes that offense very well.

How can you assess Lin's ceiling as a PG when he hasn't even really been able to play as one most of his time here? He played off-ball spot up shooter most of last season, and this season he came off the bench as a 6th man SG a lot of games and in the games he starts he mostly feeds Dwight in the post or Harden does his thing.

Lillard is in a golden situation, he gets to run the offense and play through mistakes with the trust of coaching staff and has great unselfish players around him in Batum and Aldridge.

It's hard for any PG to shine next to a ball-dominant SG.

Mike Conley looked like an average PG before Gay was traded, but since the trade he's nearing elite PG territory and all his numbers are up due to his increased usage and handling of the offense.

Steph Curry was handcuffed next to black hole Monta Ellis. Without him, he's now exploded.

    Situation is everything.

Yeah, I have a feeling Lin and his agent would love for him to be traded.

Either that or have a real coach come in.

Definitely a team loss. Bone headed plays from everyone tonight. Missed free throws, dumb turnovers, miscommunication on defense, lack of ball movement early in the game and poor coaching.

Not sure how players can come out of timeouts and still not know what their role/play is. (Coaching staff needs to do a better job of relaying the message and letting players know what their assignment is) it was obvious players weren't on the same page tonight.

Hopefully, they can bounce back quickly from this loss and beat the wizards tomorrow.

    Go Rockets!

Facts are facts, you can't face the facts. By calling stupid, it shows how civil you are.

Lakers certainly went after Dwight, but Lakers never showered Dwight with love. Lakers would rather give Kobe, the old guard on bumpy knees, big contracts, instead of giving Dwight the love. It tells people that Lakers do not really value Dwight on the same level as Shaq or any other dominant centers.

As for Asik, he is playing smart. He has established that he is a 10-10 center player who starts. So why hurting his value (stats) by playing as a sub or risking injury? It is not his CONTRACT year and Rox does not have him in the plan, so why should he play hard after he was promised to be a starter and demoted to be a sub? He already got paid, his prime earning days are ahead of him, he has nothing to gain and everything to lose if he gets injuried.

Professional or not, this is the NBA way, Asik will get paid. Once he goes to a new team starting, and he plays well, everybody will forget what he does at Rox. As long as he is healthy, he will get paid handsomely.

and my friend, you just know nothing about the inside of NBA.

Totally agree. We are fast becoming a team that stresses half court offense. assits are way down . We can't win with low assists.

As long as mchale is coach, duds like this will continually pop up throughout the season. Simple and predictable now. Frustrating

I agree,it's Business,Rox got Dwight and he knows he is Not Part of the Future and why should he risk a injury,we saw many bigs getting injuried this season,I don't blame him cause I really became a fan of him Last Season.

Our offense flows through Harden and Dwight. Dwight slows the ball down as he has to post up to be effective. If Harden iso's other players just stand around. At one point Lin shrugged his shoulder after
Harden was holding the ball for an excessive amount of time. The announcer caught the shrug and said "yeah, do something with the ball' .Lin's role has mutated into 'taking care of the team'. He said that after the Laker game in which even Drexler stated that Lin is not putting himself into the offense during the Laker game. He behaved the same way during this game.
