Oakley will break Gasol's nose tonight and Gasol will be crying like a girl all night. Rox wins it 94-86.

If JJ would be out of this game, it should be another ugly game. ROX may hit 70+pts.
Yes, ROX may lead by 10 pts at the end of 1st QT. But when Oakley/Spoon, AG and MJ play at the 2nd QT, ROX would blew out their leading easily.
Don't expect Oakley to contribute too much for ROX. Poor offense means nothing to win.

I don't know about this one. I watched as Memphis destroyed the knicks. I hope that won't be us.

Major Kudos DO need to go to Hubbie and the Logo. The Griz were a horrible team just two years ago, now they are looking at home court in the first round in the Western Conf!!! Un-friggin-believable! I do admit I love to see a team playing that old-school team ball more akin to a college style game than the 21st century NBA having success. How will they do in the play-offs, I don’t know, but good I hope. If they do maybe more teams would adopt this style and the NBA would move away from the super-star centric style that brings with it all the egos, really expensive ticket prices and boring games. The Griz spanking some Laker a$$ would be the ultimate.

No chance here. This game will be over at halftime.

    For Memphis.

    Rockets: 99
    Grizzlies: 88

Neither Spoon or Oakley have the quickness to stay with Gasol. Try to guard him with those two and you can almost gurantee that Yao will get in foul trouble trying to defend the rim as Gasol crosses them over on the perimeter (Oakley) or destroys them in the post (Spoon). Cato had the length, quickness, and toughness to give Gasol problems.

I think when it is all said and done, Mike Miller's perimeter scoring will be the difference.

I pray that you're wrong but my heart is afraid that you're right. If that is so, then I will have no choice but to move on. I will NEVER accept Charles Oakley or what he stands for.

A pity, I have been with this team since they moved to Houston. I am what you would call Old School old school. I actually went to games in Hofheinz Pavillion before they built the Summit. I have been there with them through thick and thin: the John Lucas cocaine episode, the Mitchell Wiggins/Lewis Lloyd cocaine suspensions, Rudy T nearly getting killed by Kermit Washington, the shaky ownership situations, Clyde D coming back home to play with Hakeem and of course, the ultimate high - the two World Championships. I never thought that ANYTHING could separate me from my Rockets...until now. God, this has an absolutely terrible year for me...

They had to have meant Adrian (although he won't be starting either -- injured list), but that's funny. I wonder how often this kind of thing happens.

I don't know. Griz is an uptempo team who likes to get out in the open court and run. They spread their offense pretty well and have more than their share of offensive fire power. Pau Gasol, Bonzi Wells, James Posey, and Jason Williams are all extremely effective players who can defend and score. The matchup will probably create headaches for the Rox. Who knows...without JJ and Cato, we'll need all we can to scrap up a sloppy win.

I predict this game will be a sloppy and ugly game. Yao, SF, and Cat will need to play HUGE for us to win. If either one of them has an off night, it's game over.
