How Silas sees Nix is really a mystery to me. Sometimes he plays 0 minutes. Sometimes 15 minutes. Sometimes 20+ minutes. When KPJ was down, he started for at least 2 games, I think. But there were games he didn't even play, with Tate playing as PG. The rationale is just unfathomable.

Prioritizing developing Nix over Christopher and Washington is simply criminal.

 

Simple we have been winning too much. Playing Nix is the best way to tank

 

He seems to value seniority over everything, because he's done the same thing ever since he's been here--whichever player is the most veteran gets the most minutes unless there's a clear mandate from the front office to play a guy X amount of minutes (Jabari and Jalen).

Which is a bad way to do things in general because it's not based on merit, but is especially asinine in a purely developmental season where you're trying to find out which guys have the most upside.

 

This. Nix is our cooler.

 

Nix just isn’t ready yet, but they keep throwing him out there. I’ve said it before, that’s on Silas as much, or more, than it is on Nix. The dude simply isn’t an NBA level basketball player. I think he might be one day. I hope he is because I like the guy, but right now the game is too much for him.

 

He in there for the tank job. We all know that by now

 

I have not really been a fan of the idea of bringing Harden back, but our best group is Green, Sengun, KPJ and Tari. All it's missing is an actual PG. I am finally coming around to seeing that adding Harden to the group would not only be an improvement, but would have the chance of being a pretty good team. Add to that whoever we get with a top 5 pick this year. Then there's KJM and Jabari (until he can prove he deserves otherwise) off the bench. While I do feel like there has been improvement, they still need a better coach, and Udoka would be my pick, too. Games like this help show that this team really could be just a true PG away from taking that huge step.

Lots to like from the young kids against the #2 team in the stacked West. We don't know for certain that any of them will be stars in the league, but it's looking like they can at least hang with the best, so I'm seeing long, fruitful careers from all of them after being able to do that in their early 20s (or age 19 in Jabari's case).

 

Give me this 15 more times or however more games we have this season.

 

They all played well at the same time, but Silas had to play Nix, so we lost.

I honestly believe if Tyty played instead of Nix, we would have won this game. Tyty isn't a trouble maker. He shouldn't be in the G-League. Nix should be there instead of him.

 

I do not think Washington is as good as you think he is yet.

There is time.

 

He needs to improve. He is better than Nix.

 

I think this game version of kpj is what he should strive for. Focus on feeding the starting folks and if he really wants to score do it with the bench folks.

If We had a competent pg coming off the bench or even Tate playing instead of nix, we probably would have won.
