And hopefully by Saturday night, we can put some horses and bobcats in there too...although this would defy all laws of nature

The second game of a back to back, on the road. I think Bill said Howard turns 34 tomorrow. Deke is about 60. What do you expect? I've been amazed at the level of play from both guys. I honestly didn't think Howard had this much left in the tank. He's having the best season he's had in years, in my opinion. Deke? Unbelievable!

Shane is the key. He was with them last year, and they won all 4 games against rockets. And he is with us this year! :D

nothing to do with age. form is just cyclic. there'll be periods of ups and downs.

that is probably why they avoided talking about the rockets the rest of the show. didnt want to bring up an obvious blunder.

Not taking away from Mutombo or anyone else, but our defense this year is held together by Battier. The guy is basically taking away the opposing team's first offensive option or the hot hand, like tonight when he pretty much smothered Mike Miller. How many games have we seen this happen? On a defense-first team like the rockets, he has been invaluable.

From the AP article on the game:

Who votes for Defensive Player of the Year? They need to take notice of the job Battier does every game on the defensive end.

They just showed the 3 D's (defense, dish, and dunks), a segment on NBA fastbreak (ESPN), and didn't have any of the two dunks by T-Mac...man what the...

At least they showed it on the game highlights on espn.com...

That's three nasty power dunks by McGrady in two games. Cool.

Wow, great game. I like the way this team is playing. Good game from all of our guys, I'm glad to see we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat. I was a little worried since Memphis has been playing a really up-tempo game as of late, and I was afraid they might catch us offguard.

First time ever that I got the score right. Thanks for the congrats. Time to buy a lotto ticket. :D

I didn't think 100 points would be scored by the Grizzlies. Bad teams tend to revert back to their old habits after the newness of the intermin coach has worn off. It was Minnesota last night and Memphis tonight.

Besides, I'll take our defense over the Grizzlies any time. Good luck to them scoring 100 points against us two times in a row. Not gonna happen.

He might make Defensive First time or second team but i ain't holding my breath. Artest might make the SF spot in Defensive first team, even after him Prince is a better defender then Battier.

Dang, did you guys see Chron's article... seems like the whole team is pretty banged up right now... Juwan is very sick.... Mutombo has tendinitis.... Bonzi is hurt.... T-Mac (not sure about this, tired?)

Battier managed to outscore and outrebound Gay and Swift and totally shut down Mike Miller. Regardless of giving up on Swift (or getting rid of his contract depending what camp you're in) I think we can finally put this argument to rest. I'll never boo at the draft party again.

Oh yeah, and on a totally unrelated topic; former Rocket John Ameichi is gay, didn't see that one coming. No wonder he didn't last in Utah.
