May be, but he's one of the top 3 or 4 post players in the league...he's VERY effective down low, and doesn't shy away from the physicality of the post game.

I actually think he's underrated by many GMs in the league...

Back to the game, our post defense is VERY lacking...this might be the worst I have seen Deke play all year.

Gasol would give the bulls what would elevate them into elite status. with he's elite post skills and scoring, they'll cruish the east.

 

Deke of defense is great but on offense

Deke is probably bothered by his sore knee...While nobody else can defend Gasol, that is the trouble.

That's precisely why the Bulls or any other team in the East (Nets for example) not making a solid effort to get him would be idiotic on their part; the East is ripe for the taking, and a single move like this could elevate mediocre/solid teams into contenders.

 

Yup, and a good call too.

Our veteran players are making stupid mistakes (Deke earlier, Juwon now).

Memphis have enough firepower to win this game, and we stopped playing any semblance of defense out there.

I think he and wallace would form a scary front court due. wallace provides that elite defense and shot blocking ability and gasol would give the bulls that scoring elite player that they have coveted for so long. they would complement eachother reall well.

 

Deke can't do anything to slow down Gasol.

Gasol is a premier post player...he has some great footwork/moves.

 

It's the Battier show...you know he's sticking it to his old team.

Now the Rox are REALLY tightening up their D...some great defense on the last few possessions. It's really frightening how good our defense can be when we play like it.
