Based on this game, I see that both scola and A/B deserved to be given more play times.

Alston can be traded, I could not watch his airballs again. Does he even practice shooting anymore?

I would keep one of the two either james or SF as a backup PG/SG.

for some reason without Tmac the team is playing like a team around Yao.

New lineup while tmac is out.

    (trade)/AB/(SF or MJ)
    Wells/Head/Synder
    Battier/Novak
    Scola/Hayes/Laudry
    Yao/Deke

RA needs to play novak and landry. see how AB and scola play with more PT?

They should ISO him if he reverts to old habits!

I think Scola is probably ready to start, if he can cut down his fouls. But Brooks? I think he needs more time, if you want him to direct the offense. He's quick, can shoot and drive and actually finish. He also has little 2 man games, but to direct whole team offense, I don't want to rush and over-burden him, not yet.

It was. I'm sure Morey signed off on it, but Adelman wanted him because he was living in Portland and got to see Oregon play a lot.

Ball Movement was the best I have ever seen for this season.

We didn't take quick shots,we limited their posessions,We moved the ball, you don't come down every set and take ill advised shots. I think luther played okay,he will get better if we continue to move the ball and take the shots that are open.

Just when I'm about to punch a hole in the wall after a flurry of Rafer mistakes and bad shots, he does just enough to make me sit back down.

I think competition for minutes with him is gonna be a good thing.

aaron brooks - 10 pts, 7 ast, 3 rbs, only 1 to in 21 mins. that's as good as it gets from a rookie pg.

    I agree about the thread.

Your point is very clear about Brooks and well supported by the stats.

Same thing could be said with Yao. When he's angry or trying to shut people up, he really steps up his game. Only if he could be this aggressive in the post every single game. It's funny to see how Yao toyed with Stro, as he knew Stro is trying very hard to dunk on him, but Yao would just meet him with every attempt.

Good win without McGrady. Lets hope the shooting continues over the weekend. They need to win both games at home against the Raptors and Warriors.

I remember that and I agree.

It was still nice to see them play this way without T-Mac tonight given the history.

I called the game this afternoon:
I'll take any win no matter who it is. Scola and AB showed us a few things that give hope for the rest of the season. Maybe Adelman will set Rafer down when he starts building brick mansions and at some point Scola will be a consistent contributor. But again in all fairness, the team we played was sorry.

I was one of the unbelievers in Brooks, i thought he would just be decent, but I think if given 30 mpg. He could easily average 12 - 15 ppg with 9 assists.

He would also give up an easy 12~15 points a game. So his value is negated.

He's best coming off the bench. Can't hang with the starting point guards of the league.

Absolutely! I have noticed that, too.

Alston always seems to play better when he is facing competition.

This is true within a game and over the course of many games.

    Very good point!
