Yeah, this is what I think too. Often times Yao would easily grad rebounds but he let teammates get them. Offensively, Yao should work harder to get rebounds.

two wins , two times Yao the leading scorer. Yet I still see many times that Yao is open or calling for the ball but he isn't getting the ball passed to him.

I second that. Tipping it to the Grizzilies most of the time too.

Hopefully its just that his timing's off, and he'll get it back in a few weeks.

This is so played out......give it rest dude. How about laying some blame on the players poorly executing or just a little bit of praise for the good defense that Memphis played on Yao. They had three guys shadowing him the whole night. Quit guzzzling the cool-aide and REALLY watch the games. Why do you think JVG is so sour lookiing in the post game interviews. Clearly its because his players keep making mistakes on the court and I'm pretty sure he is not encouraging it.

Hayes is a rebounding Bowen. He cannot make a layup to save his life. But boy, does he rebound!

I don't think we're going to be able to go on a run like 2004-2005 with this collection of shooters. Alston, Tmac, and Snyder are all inconsistent from range. We will see a lot of ugly basketball unless they get better. And play Novak for god's sake.

Yao rolled his ankle late in the game and probably was pretty painful to jump so tipping it out is the next best thing.

    So what? I can't point out a player's weakness after a win?

Seriously, if we want to be contenders, this win is as bad as the loss to the Jazz and NO. We should have killed the Griz. If yao secured a few more of the rebounds he tipped to the Griz, we would have dominated completely.

I'm not bashing Yao, but I have high expectations of him, and am sure, as do the Rockets franchise. If we're ever going to get another ring, he's gotta be the meal ticket

One of the most poorly played professional games I have ever seen. Just horrible basketball. There is no excuse at this level. Nevertheless, the good news: Chuck Hayes. This guy has to be on the court. Next, TMac very ordinary, BUT showed more speed and quickness, at least some signs of life. This is hopeful. Ming didn't have his best game, but I think it was a tough, gutsy performance. Ultimately, he was the difference. The Grizzlies really suck, they are awful. Battier, Swift, Gay: a wash.

The Rockets are aiming at a quick start this season. And they are off the mark so far. So I am not blaming JVG for not using rookies at this moment.

yao really had to work himself into a post position in this game. they double teamed him so many times. it's a wonder he got the ball the many times he got. did you guys notice him just digging and rooting his feet into the ground on almost every offensive possession? his feet and legs must burn like tex-mex jalapeno salsa after each game.

let's just remember that the health of this team is of number 1 importance. how well we play in the early season does matter as much as we complain about it. i'm very happy about this win.

I don't think rebounding to an individual stat is important as a team.

If I do not know the final scores I'd think we have just lost the game to the Grizzlies. Some of the people here are really pathetic.

You dont think we have the right pieces and need time to gel and develop as a new team. Half the roster is changed, that's not just a face lift.

Yao is not a good rebounder though he is big.

He can not jump, arms are not strong and long enough.

So, I'll forgive him, just do your best, Yao.......

WIN is a win. But seriously, when can Yao start rebounding like last year? 7,8 rebounds a game is just way off. I'm not saying 15, but at least give us 12 a night..

Odds are you weren't watching the same game as I was.

Or maybe I just missed this turn of the event completely?
