    No, it's much simpler. McHale overestimated his players' maturity. During the preseason he thought "These guys are pros. They'll make sure to show up when it counts. I'm not going to put extra wear on them." But the players did not show up, even when the season was already underway.

    Maybe. And if so, I have even less sympathy for him losing his job. Even veteran teams who've won championships can buy into their own BS and halfass it out there. The Rockets routinely did this in the 1994-95 season. Hell, the Spurs basically no showed for Game 6 vs the Clippers last season(Pop called them out on it in the postgame interview).

    McHale showed last year that he had it in him to discipline his players for not trying like when he benched all the starters in the game at New Orleans after New Years. They responded by destroying the Heat at Toyota Center the next night. Where was that fire this season?

    if dwight doesn't play when there's a back to back he's already ruled out ahead of time. its never a gametime decision and its been the day before so far this season

    Well, it's a moot point anyway since they just said he's playing. But I do recall it being a same day decision.
