we were about 10 rebounds shy of our avg for the season tonight.

    shane was goose egg.

    rafer was goose egg.

refs did a job on us, but el33t teams need not worry about refs.

james is still in a funk.

the whole rockets team needs to go through layup and dunking drills.
(except for you, tmac. you should be the be the layup and dunking specialist training the team...and i saw you doing that already within the game)

scola, grab yr crotch. get your confidence back up. also, watching your personal fouls doesnt mean playing OLE defense.

    luther, good improvements!

LMAOOOO,i figure it is a "shadow gesture"? see if you put that hand sign against the light and you may see a bird-shaped shadow, and maybe this Turtle-Headed Stro is trying to show: I can be a bird :p :p :p

he has to be in GREAT position to get those shots. we shouldn't have to WORK HARD to get him the ball. if we do, move on to the next option.

That is very flawed reasoning. If we don't try to get him the ball when other teams front/double, he will become a non-factor, just like the defense wanted. McGrady was great tonight but he could not shoot us to a win. We should work hard to get him the ball; he was doing his part in getting position.

Apparently,It's not steve's out of shape that he cannt get the chance to play, thats just coach RA's excuse,he doestnt like steve just as JVG's wife doesnt like v-span,thats can be sawn from how long he play rafer and bonzi when they really sucked!Steve is treated unfairly!Coach RA is not a good coach to use players, the reason of us 6-2 now is that we have two superstars T-MAC and YAO,I can bet no matter what coach can help us to 6-2 if t-mac and yao play like this.
If T-MAC and YAO played like last night's Ducan vs Lakers and we still win(i dont need a blow off game as they beat lakers),I would appreciate him .wish steve coule play tonight!
    guys,lets shout together:"we want steve!"

we lost tonight b/c of defense (besides the lack of offensive balance).

    50% opposing defense, no rebounds...

when tmac explodes, offense is NEVER a problem (99 pts tonight).

again, that's why we have to play yao at the high post or run the pick and roll. we should not waste 5-7 secs just to get yao the ball in the post. that will make the offense too stagnant as we've seen in the past.

what i didn't like was the lack of the side pick and rolls tonight w/ yao to get him the ball.

I already ripped Yao repeatedly for his bad defense, OK? I even said that I wouldn't be surprised if the team didn't want to get him the ball because he was playing very bad defense.

But if Yao has it going we are slowing the game to a crawl and making it hard for the opponent to score. I'm sure you noticed how they many fast break opportunities they had; those wouldn't be happening as often if we made a commitment to pounding the ball to Yao.

Wasting some time off the shot clock to get the ball into Yao is not only a good idea, it is necessary.

That's why we desperately need Steve-another penetator, when the defender, who usually is a big man, fronts Yao, Yao can easily be a screener to help Steve attack the rim, and Yao will get better position for offensive rebounds.

Let them pay for doubling and fronting Yao!!! Unleash Steve!!!!

They played much more athletic and energetic than us tonight. They put excellent defense on YAO and our role players couldn't help TMAC and YAO to release the burden. Our guard played so bad these 2 games. Is it the time to put SF3 on the court? At least, he is much athletic than Alston and James and he can bring us some fresh energy we're lack of.

I don't feel like scouring all 16 pages of this thread but i'm curious if somebody has made a Darko "I WILL FIND THE REFEREES, MURDER THEM AND THEN **** THEIR DAUGHTERS" reference since the exact opposite applies tonight.

Just ridiculous, are you saying YAO is nothing more than a guy who can only score when he is in GREAT position? Those who just seleceted YAO to be POW must be r****ded, or rather, you are    ?

Sad. The Mavs, Spurs, Suns all did tonight what contending teams do. They trashed teams they were suppose to trash. The Rox have to be able to win these kinda games.

The next few games will show everyone where the Rox are at. A top contender or just another 5-6 seed.
