It sucks to see T-Mac go for broke, and we still wind up losing. That sucks. What happened to our role players?

I don't expect him to score 40 + every night, but Tmac does have nights where he doesn't attack the basket that much...the guy still has the ability to be the great scorer that he was in Orlando...........that's if he brings "it" every night.

Maybe you can stop mocking the Chinese language long enough to figure out how to write the characters yourself?

I am not mocking Chinese. I love dubbed Chinese Kung Fu movies! Taught me everything I needed to know about English.

Now please teach me how to write $hit in Chinese! Share your culture!

I thought that was getting better this year like in LA or against SA and Milwaukee, Yao was the main option in the clutch. I thought he could have done it today too, but he was having a very poor night on the defensive end and I know personally when I'm playing I'm hesitant to give it to someone who has played very bad defense.

I think after tonight's 2-7, Rafer now officially shoots below .300. Good luck w/ the starting 5 if RA continues to start Rafer. Teams will just double tracy or yao and leave Rafer open to brick a shot. Teams will exploit that in the playoffs.

    The Rafer line:

    - Only ONCE this year has Rafer attempted double digit shots. Most of his games are 5-8 shots in the young season. Which is what the team wants.

    - Can't really get into a rhythm if you are told DONT SHOOT. Imagine if McGrady can only shoot 9 times a game.

    - Still not ONCE has he hit more than half his shots. Mike James is shooting poorly but at least he'll have good games mixed in with the awful ones.

    - Every is FUMING again at Rafer  deservedly for another bad shooting night. He was 2 for 7, so using 2 for 7 lets say he makes his next shot. Then he'd be 3 for 8, which should automatically give him enough to win people over? Cuz that'd that'd put him at a respectable 37.5% shooting.
But thats not really respectable though thats kinda weak...but really it IS, cuz Rafer is CAREER 38.3% Shooter!

Sorry for the Clutch impersonation, but Rafer was one simple basket away from being average tonight, and people are all ready to hang him unmercilessly. I mean, I dont hate the guy, and I dont blame it all on him tonight. But geez man it gets hard to justify

The problem is it's not just our defence, our offence didn't look good too. It's almost like old JVG way. T-Mac, Yao, T-Mac, Yao.....

Can't really blame it on one person, but you can blame it on one THING.

DEFENSE. We let them walk all over us for whatever reasons. It's tough to down at first, losing to scrubs like that, but I got over it. Just look forward.

I'm not blaming Adelmans' defense, or the lack of Van Gundy's, so that's not what it's about but...

That was either TERRIBLE defense or they were just too hot to touch.

Let's hope we beat the Lakers and Dallas at home. Phoenix (home) and SA (away) are maybes in my book.

That puts us at 8-4 through a very tough stretch of the season. Hopefully we take both Miami and Denver to finish at a respectable 10-4 through a very tough opening schedule with a new team and coach.

I wasn't thinking we'd stay atop the league for that long. Not to be pessimistic or anything, I just didn't think (1) we'd start that hot and (2) we'd sustain it.

Again, one loss is nothing and it's not the end of the wolrd, but we have a tough stretch and i'm just saying don't expect to come out 12-2 or 11-3. in my opinion 10-4 would be very respectable.

imo, this loss was good for us cuz its a wakeup call. i have the feeling that theyve sorta been winging it. we were lucky to win over the bobcats the other night. the way they played was very uninspiring to me. after this loss, it'll give em a chance to regroup and redefine their identity.

A disgustingly poor showing by our Houston Rockets.
Did anyone notice that for a period, even when he was on the floor
Yao Ming was going away from the action. Yao can't just stand like a 7'6" pansey while Darko beats up on him. He needs to man up and give it back to him with all his 310 lbs. Let Darko know that Yao Ming has come to play!!
In this game Tracy started off fast and Yao wasn't able to get into his usual game! His points were mostly cassual points anything less than 30 for Yao should be considered a poor game
Morey needs to wake up and smell the roses, his team of Point Guards is not getting it done. Why are we not developing our draft picks?:p

    1. Defense: Point guards are consistantly getting into the paint against him. I'm sick off all the 6-8 foot jumpers/floaters going in against us. That's not going to work in a division with Terry/Harris, Parker, and Paul. I'd like to see what Francis could do on the defensive end when he applies himself.

    2. It's not just that he's shooting poorly, it's how he's missing these shots. HE'S WIIIIIDE OPEN. Francis can consistantly hid a mid-range jumper.

    3. His penetration skills are piss poor. Although he has good handles, he doesn't have the quickness to get to the hole fast enough before help defense comes. If he does manage to get into the paint, he either bricks a floater or dribbles back out to the 3pt line. You rarely see his penetration lead to easy baskets. We all know Steve can beat his man off the dribble and attack the hole. He will at least cause more fouls than commit turnovers or poor shots.

I'm not for benching Alston or James. Alston is by far our best PG at bringing the ball up and setting up the offense, but these minutes need to seriously be distributed differently with Luther being the odd man out for now.

ONE THING THIS TEAM NEEDS FOR THE PLAYOFFS IS THE HEART OF STEVE FRANCIS.

Its seems the rockets lack a leader on the floor. TMAC is a great shooter, but unfortunately not a leader on the floor. This is why he has not been able to get out the first round all his career. As a leader you need to be outspoken, encourage your team mates when they are not playing well (Like Scola, who currently has zero confidence right now), shout at them sometimes, (MJ needed to be shouted at for that last shot attempt). Encourage you team makes to keep shooting when they are not play well, and stop smiling when we loose.

If TMAC does not be a vocal leader, and have the mentality of a KG, Steve Nash, Kobe or even a LB, Mark my words, he will be crying again on national TV after another first round elimination come April next year.

It seems more and more that the Battier trade was a mistake looking at Gay. He is very athletic, can shoot and is already a decent defender at his age. Shane's play was unacceptable tonight! He need to develop some kind of post game, midrange jumper or some kind of offensive move, he cannot just rely on his defense, Hayes already does that for us and he is doing a decent job at it.
Shane has to be able to put the floor on the ground and drive to the basket.

Its is time to see Steve or AB, someone else other than rafer. Lets allow them to make mistakes! Rafer's shooting is devastating, the shoots are so way off! My Goodness! We cant have another offensive Liability on the starting line up, Chuck is enough! It is time for Steve Francis to see court time. At least he can drive to basket. I can understand, is Steve really this bad that he cannot at least take Luthers Minutes now, or some of Rafer "Where Bricking Happens" Alston minutes, wow. RA needs to reevaluate this situation and fast!

MJ thinks he is Jason Terry or Manu. He is beginning to show his Minesotta form again. He is just jacking up way to many shots. He was driving to the hole for the first couple of games we played and that really helped his outside shooting. Now he just pulls the trigger at every moment. RA needs to call him to order.

RA needs to find a to get Yao more touches in a game like this. He was worn our by 3 7 footers, and he did not play solid defense on Darko either.

Overall 6 -2 is still not too bad, even though the spurs punished the lakers tonight with a 25 point win and are now 7-1. We must be ready tomorrow!

    Go Rockets!

duncan is soft-spoken. in fact, he's freakin' boring.
wade admitted he's not a rah-rah guy and only lead by example.

so no, u don't need to speak up to be a great leader.

the players listen and follow tmac. that's all u can ask for.

we just didn't execute last yr. some players who shouldn't play 44 mins played a lot. and so on.
