He played the first 16-18minutes straight to start the game tonight, playing 22 of a possible 24 minutes in the 1st half and was the leading scorer.

But ok

 

People just pull narratives out their ass.

And I know how. If you are predisposed to hating a player, the last bad thing they did, you will create a narrative that is what they ALWAYS do. It's basically goldfish memory of dumping out all the good clutch plays Green has had this season and just remembering last bad one and claiming that its a systemic issue.

 

freddy should not be the one to take the last shot. especially not one that's off the dribble. only if it's a catch and shoot.

i prefer the ball to be in amen or jalen's hands (even though jalen's handles are suspect af)

that last shot was terrible. smh

 

I was wondering why he didn't go for it, especially with JJ having five fouls.

 

And he didnt even have any play in the end lol. FVV literally bricked the last 3 shots somehow its Jalen's fault.

 

Pippen did that in the 1st quarter too. Amen still went to check up on him as Pippen landed by the fans. That family is shady af. Never trust a pippen

 

Wait Amen's handle is even more suspect. Green didn't have a handle issue tonight. I don't know what people were seeing. I feel like I'm going crazy.

Sure he was lose agaisnt ATL. But tonight his handle was tight.

 

He is still 10th most clutch in the league right now. Of course being guarded by the best players will cause your tos to go up but he is only averaging 2.5 a game.

I dont mind ******** on a player playing badly (Reed Sheppard) but it has to be based on reality and not just what you think is happening.

This is one thing I noticed with the Reed fanboys/Jalen Haters. They post BS based on their feelings without using any stats to back it up.

 

why didn't he go to the basket? that part puzzled me too.

rockets didn't have a clock advantage and were only up by 1. why the hesitation?

 

FVV was 4/12 from the field and 2/8 from 3 with 5 assist in 36 mins. Jalen also had 5 assists and was 8/21 and 5/10 from 3 with 25 pts. Jalen was 5/10 from 3 ...I'm not sure he took another 3 in the 4th qtr...because he was 5/10 with a lot of basketball left. I never understand how someone is shooting 50% and the guy who can't hits a 3 at 1/2 the rate (25%) is taking the 3.

 

I thought my people **** on its own when we f*** up... but Rocket fans will **** on one that's a young potential stud that's still positively progressing before their very eyes.. Tough room lol

 

The primary goal on a final possession is getting off a shot. This is why there is often less passing on final possessions. When teams get too cute and defenses use the clock as a "6th defender", the possession often goes haywire and no shot is even attempted.

Fred decided with the clock ticking down to take a fairly uncontested shot from the parking lot.

 

If he looks to his left there are TWO WIDE open ...I mean WIDE OPEN players with 4 secs left....I would categorize his shot as pretty contested.

The worst way of scoring in final seconds is Fred chucking.

 

72 points in the paint tonight for Memphis — biggest downside to Şengün’s absence.

 

He gets zero credit for his defense until he doesn’t play and it’s really noticeable.

 

Swapping Fred with Fox would be sweet.

 

Jeff Green should have played tonight we needed another skilled player.
