why does tmac clank threes when he's not in the zone?

 

same story yao doesnt get enough touches Tmac is ice ice ice ice cold head cant shoot and has hit a BRICK wall Stro sucks Howard is the only bright spot Wesley went back into his shell from the beg. of the season. THe rockets played crap defense tonight and thougth they would win they lost im pissed and back to the drawing boards Yao needs more touches and Tmac make your shots.

 

He plays good in games he gets over 20 minutes. Obviuosly he isnt someone you build around and he doesnt have to be. Thats why we have Tracy and Yao. He has great production in incredibly limited minutes.

 

well, YAO was slow on the rotation. It will take sometime for for to get it back.

10 mins for DEKE might be good.

Seriously, Stro has gotta go!!! I still believe the Rockets will eventually make a trade. They have to do something or else just tank the games like the Spurs once did and hope for the best in the lottery. That way T-Mac and Yao will be healthy for next season. I will still hope for the playoffs this year but the thin light at the end of the tunnel maybe train heading our way.

 

It's going to take a perfect month of February to have any shot at the playoffs. This needed to be a statement game, yet it really wasn't even close.

Van Gundy still has a ton of support from me...but if Stromile gets more minutes than Hayes and Baxter again I might vomit. Having no talent is one thing; playing with no hustle is another.

Unless they are showcasing him for a trade, I expect to see Stro in the doghouse for a while.

I have had numerous nightmares about just that

You know, I am the biggest JVG fan because I believe in his disciplinarian style of coaching, and because I believe in defense, but playing good D doesn't mean you should suck on offense. The Spurs and the Pistons and the Heat don't suck on offense, Memphis doesn't suck on offense.

I dont' know, I still think it's the players who don't fit the system, I think the system can work but you pretty much need the perfect fit around TMac and Yao if you want it to work well, and the slightest hitch in the execution will send everything crumbling down.

As for experimenting with different strategies and plays, if not this season then when? This season is pretty much down the drain, not much to be gained from it except using it as a preparation for next season to see what/who works and what/who doesn't.

 

I sincerely hope so.. I have been watching the Rockets since 80' when I lived in Seattle.. this has to be the most dissappointed I have been in a while. Even more than the Barkley / Quitten years.

Hah! Good one. Still, I am wondering, what did we "choke" away? You can't be a choker if you haven't had something to choke away, can you?

I would say we've been consistently bad and disappointing this season, not sure what we "choked" away...

I have no issue with his style, but I have yet to see him make one adjustment. That's something those other teams you named have done.

As hard as Pop is, even he lets the team run. This system is too reliant on streaky shooters and Tmac to have perfect games to win. In most cases like now, thats not good odds.

The rockets dont have too many years to mess around with old and injury riddled players. For some reason though, I have a bad feeling JVG is going to try to keep wesley.
