We were in rebuilding mode. Having a crappy coach didn't seem like a big issue at the time. If anything it was advantageous if the goal was to get a high lottery pick.

It's not just Lin not being ultilised as a PG. PB doesn't play like one and that's why he is starting. We have 1 part time PG in our SG and countless casual wannabe PG's at any given moment in the game. Maybe if we win the championship this system will be revolutionary but at the moment it looks ugly.

I think in NY during that brief period, that team's offense totally flowed through Lin. It was a totally different circumstance. No one (until Melo came back) there questioned Lin's role as the starting PG, not just in name, but also in function.

    Lowry > Dragic > Lin
Why did Morey always chose the worst player?

Lowry went 0-10 other game and tonight 2-10 1-6 from 3, not saying Lin is better than him, but just icing something for you to think about while jacking off the Lowry, starting to see the Lowry trend going on around here

Then you are being kneejerk about this. Lin is just in a bit of a slump right now. He will come around. Parsons had a similar slump earlier in the year and look at him now.

Lol. And I did put it across that hes slightly below them, which is my opinion of him.

Hes had brilliant games before. I.e. (against OKC last year, Boston this year, etc.). Whos to say he won't again? (though at the rate its going it will probably be for some other team)

This tells us that McHale and the coaching staff have successfully done their job in "promoting" JLin.

Clutchfans really need to let go of their past PG. No PG flourish under Mchale. He destroyed the Wolves franchise when he was the GM/Coach for MN. Rockets better watch out.

This team is not ready to contend, Morey knows that. Need a real starting PG and a better PF. Bev and TJones are backups. Probably another, more consistent, shooter as well. We still doing ok, just not a for real contender with what we have right now.

kevin McHale is an average coach at best his offensive system is fine for the Regular season but in the playoffs nah especially when teams can make them play in a half court set which I am not sure we even have a halfcourt offense since Howard don't get enough touches to get in a rhythm

I agree. Most of these guys are SEVERELY misinformed if they really think we're talented enough to get past the 1st round. WE HAVE NO BENCH. Asik needs to be moved for a few better role players. Too many guys playing out of position and a GM who wants to coach the team. Smh

I really think the Lin vs Bev thing/ Lin scrub vs good player thing that dominates the posts in these threads are really just red herrings- something for people to focus on so they don't have to face the reality of a team whose problems run much deeper than that, starting with the McCoaching.

What a bad game, I'm not a fan of McHale but this loss has more to do with the players than the coaching.
