I watched this game. I didn't see one attempt at a lob the entire game. More lobs means they tried at least one.

They tried a couple early in the game, both resulted in Yao dunks. Not most precise, but he managed to catch them. ****, I was so pissed I erased the game from my satellite PVR. Or I would create movie clips.

The Rockets are starting to show some heart. That's as good as winning.

We're building character, all right. The Steve Francis Era, then, has easily brought War and Peace to Rockets fans. Give it another year and we'll have The Bible.

Steve wasn't bad tonight, just late, when it counted. I still don't see how The Steve Francis Show will mesh with Yao and vice versa.

the game was lost when we took steve out in the 4th and sub him with mike wilks and a couple oif others we had a 7 or 8 point lead then it was cut down to 1 and by then the crowd got into it and it was in favorite of the griz agian.

Thats the seteve that iam use to seeing in previous years one that plays very hard on offense and defense.houston your point guad is a pretty though little dude.

Maybe so but he can back it up on the court where it counts...

You forgot to add "outcoached". Hubie knew as does everyone else in the league that JVG wants to slow down the game into the 70 point range in order to cover the gaping holes on the Rocket front line. So what does he do? His defense collapses around Yao (as usual) forcing the guards to make good passes into the post (someone really needs to show Mobley a picture of Yao so he'll recognize him on the court). He then has the Grizzlies pushing the ball up and down the court and plays a 10 man rotation resulting in yet another win over a so-called "better" team.

I really have got to hand it to JVG. His NY Knicks offensive scheme has taken our one potentially most dangerous weapon, a 7'6" center (Yao Ming - that's his name Cuttino in case you're interested) and turned him into a complete nonfactor in games. What more can I say? We have the best 7' 6" guy posting high screens in the league.

I don't know about the rest of you folks but I was immensely consoled by the fact that even though Posey stuck it to us last night but good, we saved $6 million by not resigning him. They may have won the game but we saved Uncle Les some serious dinero so we could go out and sign players off the trash heap like Mark Jackson & Witherspoon who will help us compete in the Western Conference by keeping the bench from floating away during games. After all, Yao has to have somewhere to sit during games...right?

It just occurred to me that maybe we should put Yao's picture on a milk carton so our guards will be able to recognize him when he posts up on the court during games...

Some observations from the other side

    1. It was good to see my Memphis Grizzlies playing a game that meant something.

    2. Steve Francis is real good and you guys will be sick if he ever got traded.

    3. Yao Ming is in pitiful condition. No excuse for someone to be that out of shape at midseason.

    4. Even out of shape, Yao Ming is good.

    5. The reason we won: SF, Cat, and JJ did not have their legs late in the 4th quarter.

    6. We own you guys :D

Rockets played a decent game despite the lost. Don't forget the Grizzlies get a paycheck too. At the end the ball just didn't bounce our way.

Looked like Yao had a little fire in him a few times last night. I hope he can bring the intensity out a lot more often. His roar, and Padgett's aggressiveness off the bench, were encouraging.

That game was fun to watch, a game of momentum swings. Too bad mo didn't swing our way at the end.

When was the last time Mobley pop the ball to Yao after the PnR? Must be a thousand years ago.

Steve and Mo sometimes might be hesitant to pass, but Mobley just completely ignore Yao after the pick. He never looks back at Yao's direction especially he has a bad shooting night. He will try to shoot 4-5 times until he makes one.

You're so right. People on the board keep denying it, but there definitely is something going on with Mobes not passing to Yao. I watched last night's game with a friend here in NY, who hardly ever watches the rox, and he noticed it too.

Go back and watch the game again. I said Pau scored 8-9 times over Yao's outstretched arms....I DIDN'T say Yao was assigned to guard Pau. Yao came over on help defense almost everytime Pau went up for a shot and Pau scored almost every time. He was 10-13....he didn't miss hardly any.

#2 Is to make sure that we should keep Steve Francis as the Franchise so that we can not develop Yao Ming by having Games like yesterday!

Did you even watch the Game? Every Coach knows that to beat the Rockets you make it into a Steve Francis Show! Francis doesnt truly realise that we CAN'T win when he plays this emotional Game.

What's your point? You basically agree with him.
