Pau Gasol made Yao look like a little b**** out there tonight. I counted about 9-10 times he scored when Yao was there contesting the shot.

And of course he only missed 2 shots the entire game.

This team completely has own number...I'm sure of it

They are not even close talent wise to our team...but they kick our a** every time........Houston couldn't get a stop on these guys....not ever...the entire game

What the hell happen to that "SMOTHERING" defense.....The Grizz shot a jump shot contest all game

We go from contestin every shot...........to contestin none

    HORRIBLE....DISGUSTING

Completely forgot that this game was on until a couple of minutes ago. So, I turned it over there and I saw the Rockets not be able to get a rebound if their lives depended on it. That whole sequence made me sorry that I turned the TV on.:(

The Grizzle have fast become one of my teams that I absolutely despise now. It would be great if we could beat them instead of being their beyotches.:(

How many lucky rebounds can the grizzlies get. We are a way better team I don't know how we lost to this dumb team. I am so mad right now I want to hit pau gasol and posey and miller on the face. They are so annoying to look at.

As far as the Chinaman comment by Kerr; I don't hear him say "Nice shot from the Black dude" when Francis scores, why was that comment needed?

Great game though, we are improving and I hope JVG took notice of what Kenny Smith said after the game. Playoff intensity type of game.

Yep. Like someone else said, the Grizz get up for the Rockets because they are popular. Just like the Rockets get up for the Lakers.

    They come to play!!!

i hate ****ers like james posey. never played anything like he did tonight for us.

he didn't hurt us defensively and he didn't hurt us in transition. what does he hurt us on? 3 pointers on the move with a guy in his face. guy couldn't throw the ball in the ocean in those situations for us last year, and he sure as hell didn't do it at any sort of crucial moment but by god he was just going to swish everything tonight. if he played like that, maybe he would've gotten a better offer from us. instead he played like crap for 2 and a half months then went on a little contract drive for the last 3 or 4 weeks and now starts raining 3's like reggie miller. screw him and i'm glad we never signed him.

oh, and grab a friggin rebound.

oh, and i like how we're leading 75-67, steve sits down for like 90 seconds and they're back within one. all hail mike wilks.

oh, and i really like how jvg can't save timeouts EVER! 3 minutes left and not one timeout? i guess he was too busy calling them every time memphis put together two shots in a row. he runs out of timeouts way too often.

oh, and damn shame steve had to lose his footing right after stealing that pass. it would've at least been interesting had he been able to get to the other end.

oh, and THANK YOU KENNY SMITH for what he just said and i've been saying forever. jvg has stripped our guards of their strength and tries to let them go one-on-one so seldom. there has to be a middle ground. dammit, even though memphis is good and this is on the road, to be up by eight and lose it just sucks. especially the way we did. i swear it was like memphis got together before each possession, decided which shot would be the most difficult, and then threw it up and it just kept going in. jwill fading away from 18 with yao on him? gasol with some horrible runner that gets a roll (and him shooting 10/11 at one point? give me a break). biggest thing in this game was pau and posey shooting as well as they possibly can and us going stone cold after about the 9 minute mark.

    DAMMIT.

edit: oh and i even forgot about mike miller, who never seems to shoot well for my fantasy team, shooting lights out too. it's hard to beat a team when 3 guys are shooting that well.

    DAMMIT!

    Rebound...

The problem is that unfortunately, lots of those rebounds are long rebounds stretched to the 3 point line. We were not chasing the ball well, but I have to admit that we were a bit out of luck tonight.

BTW, I would not start Cato against the Grizzles in the near future. Padgett /Taylor will do better.

Tough loss as a Rockets fan, but still a fun game to watch. These guys are really developing a rivalry here. It'd be fun to see them square off in a best of 7.

I can't believe more wasn't made about the timeout management at the end of the game.

This is about the third time this year where we've run out of timeouts, and all of these games have resulted in losses.

It was obvious these guys were winded towards the end, and needed a break to catch their breath.

But... at least the end of the game wasn't prolonged (as most losses are) with the unecessary timeout when you're down by 6.

I also think they purposely screwed up the light so our guys wasted all their energy in pregame shootings.

The whole team was tired at the end of the game, but Van Gundy did not substitute in any fresh guys. Piatkowski, Boki, and Padgett need more playing time.

The Griz really exploited our weakness tonight. Our frontline is too slow for Pau Gasol and James Posey showed up just in time. (And why did we let him go again?)

One positive tonight is that Steve did a better job distributing the ball. This is one of his better games this year.

No, but they do say "nice shot from the Frenchman Parker." Or "nice shot from the Nigerian Nightmare" Or "nice shot from the Spaniard Gasol." Kerr was talking about COUNTRY of ORIGIN. If Yao was from New York, he wouldn't have said it.

DO you guys understand how Kerr used it? And I'm Spanish...geeesh!!!
