???? I said he has to figure it out. Confront with the "bad treatment", be it opponents, referee, coach or teammates, more to himself. And the team needs to help him. what's wrong with that?

yao is just in a slump right now. the refs have stripped him of any confidence he had.

if we were to trade yao, memphis would be the best option for the rockets. they have depth at every position...we could become a deep team with a trade of:

    yao, mo, ward, gaines

    for

pau, stro (S&T for mo's salary), battier

    that would leave us with:

    pau-deke-spoon
    stro-Jho-pad
    shane-bowen
    tmac-barry
    wesley-sura-ab

refs are just simply screwing yao right now!

Yao himself or JVG better got some Ts for this.

Yao has hit 2 hook shots tonight. At least the guy is showing some accuracy tonight. It's a shame he's in foul trouble, and he's getting denied the ball with the fronting.

The weakside defender who is cheating over when the Grizzlies front is spending time in the paint and risks the 3 second defensive violation. I would like to see the post entry passer time the lob pass to coincide with the weakside defender having to move out of the paint in order to avoid the violation. Of course, this depends on smart passers.

Yao should have played more aggressively. I mean, he should have let the refs call him one more foul on the offensive end so that he can be done for this game.

Stop blaming ewing or JVG for this stupid fouls on yao...
i m really really dissappointed at yao...
everybody said yao has high basketball IQ and is he is a smart guy, a fast learner blah blah blah... But after his first season, all the other 28 teams have figured out how to beat him, fronting, double teaming all these will take yao out of his game and made him completely ineffective on the court. Into his 3rd season, our smart guy yao still cant figure out how to beat this crap, makin the same mistakes over and over again. WTF!!!!
The answer is there, yao, use your fat butt to seal off the defenders, use your elbows to create some space. DO IT NOW!!! DAMN IT!!! stop acting like you are a teen idol or what, be mean now or just accept a MLE and be the role player to the team!!!

i dont think yao is ineffective on many occassions cuz of his being too nice and soft...i think he is just naturally too slow to the ball, slow reaction time, and doesnt have good enuff defensive bball IQ...also his shot is off rite now making him completely useless...

i dont know if these can be overcome but at least once his shot gets back in form he can be the "old yao"...aka foul-prone, slow, but can provide offense

I dont' want to argue with anybody, just my observation: At least 6 times, Yao was open or was covered only one-on-one, yet no passes at all. WTH? Guy hits everything tonight, yet he can't get the ball. Damn guards !

The nice guy in Yao prevents Yao from doing the stuff Hakeem did to create separation. Bill Walton said the hardest hits he had ever received were from Hakeem. Hakeem was no nice guy. Being a nice guy in the NBA doesn't work.
