Does everyone just forget the first month of the year when he was putting up 30+ pts every other game? He is INCONSISTENT because he is still trying to completely adjust to the rules, pace and speed of the league. He is just in one of his slumps right now. He will snap out of it soon and, eventually, it will all come together.

What a major bummer, the team had no energy and could not shoot the ball to save their lives.

What happened to the run and gun team of the last few weeks?

This team was flat, and was outhustled.

The Swift dunk on dough boy was the turning point.

Yao has got to answer and play more physical.

His manhood is being challenged and he continues to meekly accept his fate....time for him to become a big man.

The Grizzles look like the Suns when they were winning. They play with alot of energy and they shoot the lights out. Speed, speed, and more speed. This kind of team is a tough match up for the Rockets.

Ming had few touches, few shots, and few minutes. Still looks to be in a deeeeeeep slump. In the last few games he looks more like he is in the way than a part of the team.

The "in your face dunk at the end of the game will come back to haunt them later. One game a season does not make, but Ming's situation really concerns me.

The CCTV_5 commentors' analyst during the game.

On defense side: first , they admit yaoming's defense as his weakness. Yao ming should be the last one under basket, some player of rockets suppose to contain (lower the speed of ) the oppsite team's penetrator, but under current rockets roster, basically none canl do that job. the first three foula of yao ming all came from he get direct contact with the attackor .

On offense side:early fouls make him no factor on offense and it seems to the commentors that yao ming is not parts of the roxc current offense strategy.

Summary: the Grizzle's coach outcoach JVG at this very game.

I know the commentor are bias at some points, but there are also some truth.

Agree. Yao's shooting is not the problem. IMHO the problem is that other teams have learned to stop our new, TMac-only offence. I predicted that this would happen, but I did not dream that it would happen so shockingly soon. :(

I am beginning to believe that JVG knew it would happen too. I think he needed to teach an impatient T-Mac (and probably Sura) that two loaded barrels in the shotgun was better than one. The next few games should be educational. After a few more bruising losses, T-Mac and Sura will be more friendly to the idea that bringing Yao into the offence is a good thing.

Yao will have a few more games to recover his shot. When he is draining his jumpers again in an inside-out offence, the team will have a lot of fun.

I think the Rockets really miss Cato on defense a lot.

It gave them more freedom to give Yao a favorable matchup.

Mike Fratello did his best to use his big man to his advantage (quickness). JVG did his best to not use his big man's advantage(height/skill). There is NO WAY Swift should be able to go one-on-one with Yao. Don't tell me a fronting-defense is not a gimmick play and JVG cannot work out a way to beat it!

    I feel the same way
we need a defensive minded PF that can rebound and cover for Yao

I doubt it happens this season though...I just don't feel happening

that last play where they sorta ran up the score pissed me off

I don't know why...I usually wouldn't mind but maybe it was just the tough loss but I know JVG wouldn't let the Rockets do anything like that

They did not call a foul on Yao on that play...and clearly it is one.

    BECAUSE he was being aggressive.

The league had seen too much TMac only offense last season and it would/will take them only a few games to figure out how to stop that.

These are two reasons we NEED a good PF more than anything. Cato was allright, but he was able to at least get back and stop transition offense and help clog the middle while taking the opponents good big man in stretches. Having a good PF will do wonders for Yao. Our PFs now do NOTHING to help defensively or on the boards. Look at Yao's sixth foul tonight. You put a Chandler out there and Swift never makes it to the other side of the basket and Yao doesn't pick up a cheap foul.
