We didn't win because of a bad call. We did win because we won the rebound 45-25

is it just me or has tmac scored in double figures EVERY first quarter it seemed like. and outside of tonight, that has resulted in very good first quarters for the team.

now we just have to find a way for tmac to play more in the 2nd so we don't have that offensive lull.

Just watched the espn highlights and they said the call was on the floor and not on the shot.

I am posting this here since I can't start new threads and it's the fastest way for a moderator to see it and move it to a new thread.

European media is reporting that the president of ULEB said that similarly to how Macabi and Efes visited the US for 2 exhibition games with NBA teams this past year, Panathinaikos and 1 more team will visit the US for exhibition games in 2007.

Panathinaikos (one of, if not the best team in Europe and V-Span's old team) is scheduled to play the HOUSTON ROCKETS on Oct 11 and the San Antonio Spurs on Oct 13.

Should be interesting :D Can't wait to see if Diamantidis' defense on T-Mac will work...

I don't understand some of you guys. We were screwed by the refs left and right from the first minute, but you guys are feeling guilty that they didn't screw us on the final second, and even feeling bad for Cat? I like Cat, but what's this all about? The call was made on the floor, 3 point shooting? What kind of joke is that, how was that a shot attempt at the final second when you are losing? Unless he's Wade or LBJ, he won't get 3 free throws.

Speaking of refs again, the first shot attempt Yao had, his arm was hit from behind, and he shot a very short air ball! How was that not a foul? The quick fouls on him had a huge impact on his game, but the third foul really screwed him so hard and made him mad. It turns out to be good for Yao and the Rockets, but you don't thank refs for screwing you so hard. Night in and night out, you see people blocking Yao's shots. But when you look at most of them closely, just like Brand's one, he had one hand on Yao's belly, totally in Yao's space. Does anyone dare to play such "deep contact" defense - in Yao's own words to Dirk, or even frigging Kaman? So the refs figure since Yao's big, he has to play the Shaq way? Who the heck played the Shaq way before Shaq, and who the heck will play his way after him? And they let Shaq get away with all kinds of offensive fouls, but Yao's not allowed?

In LA, a tough win against a good team in good form, why can't we be happy about the game? But some of the SM lovers just feel sorry that refs didn't screw us hard enough to take the win away from us? What kind of mentality is that? Look at Lakers and Mavs, no matter how they are awarded with special treatment for their whining, they whine every single game and cry for foul. You don't have to be a cry baby, but you don't have to be a volunteer to bend over all the time.

    Yao Ming: Rebound ? (It's) Mine !!!

The referee: Geeeeeeee, the more fouls I blew against him tonight, the more excited he becomes !!!

It is huge. That's why backup PG is the team's biggest weakness and why people (myself included) still clamor for Mike James (or Chucky Atkins for that matter). Just someone else that is a good ball handler and that can create their own shot and hit jumpers. Just someone to bridge the gap when the team stalls offensively.

This is something the team will have to address in the offseason to get to the next level. In the meantime, maybe JL3 in short stints can be that guy.

LOVED seeing T-Mac talke it the hole so aggressively during big parts of the game. When he does that he is virtually unstoppable. Hopefully a playoff preview.

he went to the basket AT WILL. now he just needs to freaking take the contact and get to the foul line or convert. his ability to get to the line is there.

but though he missed, his penetration set the tone => i'm serious about tonight's game. had tmac didn't shy from contact, he would have had 2-3 more layups and so thus a "nicer looking statistical game." but he did his job.

and how many times has rafer foul a guy shooting in the last min? intentional or unintentional, those a dumb mistakes that wil cost us games. be aware of the situation.

Many games are decided by the role players. This time, LJ3 saved the game for Rox, but this will not happen on the consistent base. The PG positions will bitte us soon or later.
