It was almost like someone said to Yao Ming you got yours now let them get theirs. In the 3rd.Yao Ming was avoiding being in a receiving position almost by design or deliberation. I question this stratergy after him playing so well in the first half.

I wont complain at all even if Yao didnt score the whole fxking game. Its the way the game being played. Our guards didnt or WASNT able to get our big man involved at all starting in the 2nd half. Its not Yao's stats that I am concerned about. IT IS HOW THE GAME BEING PLAYED. Hello? If you cant understand that, then dont complain about us. OK?

Why do the rockets even put Yao on the court if he isn't being fed the ball? He should be at least the #2 scoring option out there on the court. They only thing they were doing is keeping him out there to collect fouls and get tired. It looks so sad to see a 7'6" running up and down the court being used only for defense when he's perfect from the floor and free throw line.

but oh no, wah wah wah "he was double teamed!" I guess that means when Yao is double teamed he's completely useless. Damn what was I thinking?

That is so uncool. There is no need for that.

Let me tell you what. I've watched the Rockets since 1980, I don't care if Steve Francis is shooting jumpers or Allen Leavell or whoever, I just want them to win. I didn't give a damn about STeve in college, but as long as he suits up for the Rockets, (oh yeah, awful game he had tonight btw, 7-10 shooting, 9 assists) I will pull for him. Same goes for Yao, same goes for Cat, same goes for Moochie or anybody who wears the uniform.

There is no "Yao" in team either buddy. Back to yaomingmanic.com with you. :p

They are against freaking Clippers team even without M. Jaric, Q. Richardson (most game) and Brand.

If they play smart ball, they will close the game by third QT, instead, I heard Clippers announcers screaming again and again saying Rox gave everything and every chance they can to keep Clippers in the game and Clippers should take advantage of it. It is painful.

Some of the Houston homers are unbelievable, they whining about team loss, saying Rox play stupid but when Rox play the same way and win the game, they are blind to everything. If winning then shut up, only the result, not the process, that is the idea.

    From this game, I think Yao's stat for this season: 35min, 18pt, 10brd, 3 assist, 2.5block, 2.5TO, 2.5F.

This is quite good number for him in the second year. :D :D

I think Yao is only going to take so much of that bullcrap. If something doesn't change he's out of H-Town when his contract is up. Let's enjoy him in a rocket jersey while we can.

So basically, you'd rather win with Yao scoring 30 (regardless of the point differential), as long as that is HOW THE GAME WAS BEING PLAYED?

Listen... I agree with you that the Rockets let the Clippers take Yao out of the game...something that teams have found it far too easy to do so far in this young season.

I also feel that as the season progresses, you'll start seeing games where Yao will dominate from start to finish.

But for now, I'd like to mention that when they weren't able to feed Yao, and after he subsequently got into foul trouble... this team STILL PLAYED AS A TEAM... and extended the lead while delivering crisp passing, and helping out well on defense.

I'm definitly going to complain about people who want to see Yao 24-7, especially if you're complaining after a 15 point victory.

If it was closer than normal... fine... if they lost, bring on the trade steve/cuttino threads... but not when they win by playing balanced team basketball.

Big deal, I have been watching since Ralph Sampson came out of college and went to Houston. So please dont give me that seniority attitude. A win is a win. Feed the hot hand. Bah, bah.
These excuses are just so lame.

Well, it's after midnight in the CST and the EST....and it's something like mid afternoon in China...something tells me that there's going to be a lot of b****ing about this awful 15 point victory in the next few hours.....;)

Balanced team basketball? maybe for the guards. If it was Maurice Taylor that went 6/6 and 6/6 in the first half I guaran-damn-tee he woulda gotten more than 1 shot in the entire second half. Just because the Rox had the lead and were playing the Clippers the guards took it upon themselves to shoot themselves warm. I guess they had the luxury (lead) to do it. Try that against a better team, or at least a Clips team with Brand and see where that gets the Rox.
