But SamFisher you have to admit when he shot 2-7 in the half, he just keep shooting. According to your feeding hot hand theory, Yao should continue shooting the ball, but how many times did he shoot in the third QT? One, only one time.

Don't give me Yao was double teamed OR I didn't see the game excuses, Yao is wide open or single covered at least 3 or 4 times in a roll, want to see the clips?

 

Great win. Now the Rockets need to beat Utah (yeah right).

Interesting comparision: Maggette shot 20 shots also but got to the line 20 times. Mobley got to the line twice. Cat still played a pretty nice game but I hope his trigger-happy hands dont get carried away into the next game.

 

Again this is a lame excuse. Feed the hot hand. My foot. How many times did our guards stop feeding Yao when HE gets hot. We played almost perfect basketball during the first half. Yao were 100% in fg and ft. Kaman didnt play well at all. He got called twice in a row for pushing Yao with his knee. The Clippers did try to collapse more on Yao during the 3 rd quarter, not to mention our Cato helped them out in that respect. The spacing between Yao and Cato really needs to be worked on. Anyway, its the job of our guards to creat better spacing by drawing out their defense, and feeding the big man whenever possible.

 

Our guards' need to grow up. If they shoot poorly, they tend to take more shot in order to get his hands warm. Also, that loosen up his defence as well.

Cat had his hand full with Maggette tonight; but he still jet up 20 shots. Well, at least he still got six assists. They are learning, but slowly. Every once a while, that costed us a game because of that. Luckily, Clipper was simplly too weak to exploit that. They did use our guards' mentality to their advantage in the 3rd quarter. But once Yao dominated again at the beginning of the quarter by attracting and passing the ball out of the double team, the Clipper collapsed.

A fifteen point easy win..yao played well....steve played well...mobley filled in when they were out with foulds hit shots in the fourth Q to keep the Clippers out of reach...

why would he, hes been playing great today, 19 pts, 9 assits.

 

How can Yao scored 18 in the 1st Half and 0 point in the 2nd Half. That disparity is something I don't understand. I don't care if he's doubled team, there should be set plays that create open shots for him. And I hardly hear them dumping the ball into Yao in the 2nd half.

If the Clippers, stinking CLIPPERS can shut down Yao in the 2nd Half, what does that tell you about the rest of the league? Man, Rockets need to do better than this.

If they want to dominate the game and quit letting teams hang around like they did in Portland, they should let Yao dominate and continue to dominate and stop going into him when he's playing well.

When is Cat's contract due? It seems he try to get a new contract. Just like clipper's players last year.

 

By the way, your hot hand standard is little too low for Mobley and little high for Yao.

Mobley finished with 7-20 shooting and Yao with 6-7

 

he still has problem w double team, but improving.

he did handle the double team right one time. he held the ball high, and swung his body. and margette ran into yao's elbow and was floored. No harm, no foul call.

The Rox need to show this player to Yao, over and over again.

What about it? Mobley finished the game strong, in fact, the Rockets finished the game strong. Our inconsistency at the end of games has been a huge problem, we slowed things down and hit shots this game, thats what we need, doesn't matter who gets it done, it just needs to get done.

And everybody have peace now. Yao played well in the second half, he was double teamed and passed out so cat took some shots and he got hot and then isoed a bit, and got cold again. But at that time Yao was in foul trouble so it's all good.

 

How is Yao going to score in the 4th period when he's on the bench with 5 fouls?

says something about these so called "fans", when their team wins, and win with 105 pts, and still complains because a player disnt score that many pts,,, I dont care if yao averages 0ppg, as long as the rockets win. Plus, several times in the second half he had the ball but threw it back out.

 

Well, Cat is a shooting guard...but some....here me just SOME...of those were ill-advised. Otherwise, he did what was expectd of him.

 

This is the same shyt that happend in the Portland game, when Yao is playing well, they took him out of the game. It's like everytime Yao play well, they go...ok Yao, sit down, enough!! And in the Clippers game, he got 18points and they go....ok Yao enough of you no more points in the 2nd half. That's just amazing to me. When are they going to let Yao dominate for the entire game and not just for 1 quarter or 2.
