He did at least five touches at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Three second assists for 3 treys, one missed shot and an assist for Mo's layup. :)

Even though he didn't get the ball as much in the second half, the Clippers were DOUBLING him whenever he did. (the one time he didn't, he missed his only shot).

The Rockets haven't learned how to exploit the double team yet, so that's why they probably didn't go to him as much.

In the end, they extend their lead, and all is well... but its not well when you start losing the game, like they did in Portland.

They'll find the happy medium before the season is over... trust me.

...Or he commits a bunch of fouls and ends up on the bench.

Kind of hard to get touches over there.

A couple of notes for people who can't see the game - and those like silentfan who think they know everything even though they don't even see it...

    1) Yao was being defended in the post surprisingly well by Kayman in the second half, and was often double teamed.

    2) Yao was fed in the post, admittedly not as much, but he was doubled quickly and passed out always, giving out good assists.

    3) Yao got into foul trouble.

    4) Cat and Mo Taylor got hot, and you feed the hot hand. There was no real need for Yao to carry the scoring burden, there was enough shots to go around.

    5) We stomped the hell out of the Clippers. WHAT ELSE MATTERS?

That was a lame excuse. He didnt get much touches at all during the 3rd quarter. I wouldnt blame our guards totally on that. Some of it has to do with the poor spacing between Yao and Cato.

Clippers or not, Mobley doesn't deserve to shoot 20 shots in a game, and still counting. You can't even use the "feed the hot hand argument" because he's 7 for 20.

This game shows how unstoppable Yao is. The only thing in the league that can stop him is the houston backcourt.

Didn't he hit like 5 of 7 or something in the 4th Q with Yao and Steve on the bench? I think that qualifies as hot hand, no?

Sure on paper Cat had a good game.

How about this Yao Ming 7 shots - 18 points, Cat Mobley 20 shots -17 points.

take from that what you will.
