But my point is that a huge part of the team's money is going to Westbrook, and if he can't produce at that level, then the team is screwed. If Chris Paul consistently took 22 shots a game, you don't think he'd have more than 22 points? At least, he was a net positive on the court when his shots weren't going in. We're sorely missing that BBIQ, and Eric Gordon can't just disguise that.

After watching the replay, while Capela wasn’t perfect on that play, it was Westbrook’s lack of effort that led to Williams getting an open-three-point shot from the corner. The Rockets were essentially playing four on five because Westbrook hasn’t even crossed half court by the time the ball gets to Williams.

13-4 run with 1:30 to go. Pathetic. Rockets will never learn.

He didn't need take the shot at all. We were up by 2 with like 12 seconds left on the shot clock. He could have passed it out and got a better shooter on the ball. Who knows, we could have got a shot off with like 2 seconds left on the shot clock and got the rebound if we missed.... and then we could have wasted more time. I just think going up with a contested layup is the reason we conceded the 3pt in the first place.

Capela either needed to go up stronger or kick it back out, I agree. That said, I was simply correcting where the blame should really go for that wide-open-corner three by Lou Williams. While Capela getting blocked led to the fast-break opportunity for the Clippers, it was Westbrook’s lack of effort that truly compromised the Rockets’ transition defense.

Rox will never learn that the league they play in is run and officiated by corrupt, incompetent, officials. Stupid Rox, quit trying so hard it's embarrassing.

Was it really 13-4 holy hell thats ... so Rocket like isn’t it ? There were a lot of good takeaways from this game others have already pointed out, because I honestly expected them to get hammered tonight based on the first qtr and in fact they kind of had the game in hand from the mid 2nd qtr on until the final few minutes of disaster ... think Harden, PJ and Clint were spent !!

Possibly, but it really doesn’t matter. That’s not the time to make your team play four on five defensively.

Yes. I'm pretty certain we were up 117-112 with 1:00 to go. We allowed 2 quick 3pt shots in like 20 seconds.

Only the Rockets would fall apart this badly.

Chris Paul couldn't take 22 shots because he couldn't get off 22 shots.

He was slow to a point where he can no long dribble past even big men. There were so many possessions last year where he simply couldn't get any shot off an iso and end up passing back to Harden with no time left on the clock

For the sake of god stop bringing Chris Paul. It’s ****ing ridiculous how much he’s being brought up after any losses. He’s gone damnit, the guy last year was destroyed in this forum day after day for being washed, he is gone let him go

I did have to laugh at the supposedly best defensive team in the league had to double team Harden with their 2 best defensive players. That literally tells you all you need to know of how scared they are of Harden.

This Thought process is horrible/counter productive, bro let’s talk about what Russ brings and doesn’t bring. What isn’t there can’t change anything anymore. Yes he is a bad shooter it hurts but a point about how he can be more effective or why he can’t is more worthy of discussing than some old ****er in okc

There was a lot of positives tonight
Turned a 14 point second quarter deficit to a 13 point third quarter lead. That was a 27 point turnaround in a quarter of play.

Harden was magnificent. Simply majestic. 37 points 12 assists 8 boards on insane efficiency whilst being doubled team on almost every possession. It’s just the last minute that ruined it. Get a healthy House and Gordon we can beat those clown

You live and die with Russ. He had an open shot, he took it and he missed. We'd all be singing a different tune if that went in but this game was always gonna be a tough one. Clippers were at full strength and Rockets are still missing Gordon and House. I'm just glad to see the improvement in Capela dominating the boards now and finishing around the rim a lot better than he used to.

Rockets should’ve been patient. Paul blows by guys regularly now

His free throw rate is also Harden level.
