Too bad "tipped rebounds" don't count towards his total. :D

I am sure JVG rightfully realizes that Yao is mentally stronger than 90% of the players in the NBA.

it is the fans who shuld bridge the gap between reality and expectations. frankly speaking, Yao is just not great yet..

As long as the rest of the Rockets are making the Clippers pay for their double-teaming of Yao, we can't be too dissapointed... these results are much better than the fronting defense that neutralizes him.

btw... I'd give up anything to get Elton Brand to play along side Yao.

EDIT: The Clippers have raised their intensity... the Rockets seem to be relaxin (or tired) right now... that is why the game is close again.

Brand has a strange body. He surprisingly quick for a PF. And surprisingly a good rebounder for a 6'9" guy (10 per game).

    Love to have him.

His arms are as long as a 7'2 guy.... that's why he's got those great rebounding and blocked shots numbers.

Meanwhile, Yao's arms are no longer than a 6'9 guys... and that's a huge difference.

I think he's better than Rik Smits, but I don't see much more. There's no way I see Yao go down in history as one of the best players ever.

This team's 3 point shooting is atrocious.... thus, they basically play 4 on 5 on offense, since there's no way that an opponent will ever give a second thought to guarding Ward or Lue on the 3 point line.

Everyone see what the Clips are doing?

Deny McGrady/Yao the ball, and "allow" Ward/Lue/MoT and JJ to beat them.

I feel sad for Van gundy, He seems absolutely livid on the bench.

But in a large part it's his fault, he was the one that insisted on these old Knickerbockers on the team that can't sustain his D at the end of the game.

T-Mac has got to get us back. He has to get to the line again.

JJ fouled Livingston on his afro only... that thing is such an advantage for him.

The only ex-Knicks seeing playing time are Deke and Ward. Only Ward has sucked really bad.

But you're right... our team is too slow and old to compete. Those old legs can't elevate high enough to hit a wide-open 3, which is what our offense is designed to produce. On the defensive end, it's the same story. The only natural defender on the team is Deke.

We ain't gonna win with this lineup.

Taking T-Mac out and putting Boki in is a big mistake. We need him back quickly.

It's time to prove this team can win a close game.

I think Brake Check was really smart when they decided to donate based on fast break points. Considering the Rockets get barely any point on fast breaks lol...

Good indication today we have 0 and the last game i saw we had 2 points on fast breaks.
