The guards department has a strong finishing towards the end of this game such that they made 8 out of 38 attempts combined.

It doesn't get any easier with Minn. San Antonoi and Detroit. Yeah I think Sprewell would look pretty good about now....

I guess it's just "one of those nights."

    AGAIN!

We start slow every year ... Kind of tiring.

Better be careful, or one of these times we just never may right the ship.

Hey, first off, I am a Yao fan, not a hater, as you can tell from my frustration with Yao's play tonight.

    How is my analysis irrational?

I know a lot of guys here are YAO fan including myself. But accept this: he is 20-10 guy, not 25-12 super player. So accept it. he is not the god. He will be passive for 20-30% games and aggressive for 50%.

Also, why people here complain his foul tonight? he only had two foul in the first half. two foul in the 3th when team down 20 pts. what Hel* are those "YAO stup*d foul tonight" come from?

I said he did bad on defense. which always his problem when other center is good long ranger shooter

I didn't accuse you of being one or the other. You were just proven that both T-Mac and Yao had bad off-nights and you still insist on giving one a pass and not the other. I don't understand why some insist on blaming a loss on one player when it is a team game.

    YOU SUCK!

TMAC has tried all he can to help his teamates out.

He has no problem with his shootings.

But he's just back from back spasm and this is a back to back game.

    Don't be harsh on it....

If he can , I believe he 'll make more shot, in fact his shooting is still pretty accurate. But those long range shootings really hurt his back.....

He passed so many to his teamates (DA AND RA), they can't make them....

He tried to pass to yao, yao just stand clueless beside him instead of going to the paint.....

It cracks me up that we start picking on each other after losses in the usual battle of "Who really knows what the exact problem is with the Rox and why I am not on the Rockets payroll because I have all the answers". :D (yeah this pot is black also)

    Seriously,
what is the true problem of the Rockets ? As stated before its everything....Coaching, new players not knowing plays, guards that can't shoot,no heart or desire, etc....Watching this game and the other loses we missed way too many open shots, Yao just will not take over a game or get deep position.NEVER !!! and everybody is just running around in slow motion like they are saying : man I'm gettin paid if we win or lose." Honestly I know they want to win but the chemistry just is not there. One good thing about tonight, and I mean only one good thing, is that Swift looked like the player that everyone thinks he can be. If he can play that way consisitently with T-mac and Yao then we have something if not then lates get rid of all our guards and bring back Chuck Nevitte,Charles, Jones, and Buck Johnson. We can throw in World B. Free as well and man we would for sure have a Championship team. And yes I know only one of them actually played guard but at this point Manute Bol could be our point and do better.....

JVG is the main problem. He is the coach who makes decisions and calls the plays. With all the "talent" on the team, its the coaches job to make the right decisions etc,etc.. That being said, I agree with everyone that Yao blew and he needs to step it up.. but keep in mind that in the beginning when he was trying to play aggressive, he got called on freaking BS fouls.. thus, the rest of the game he plays indecisively because he doesn't know how aggressively he can play without getting a cheap foul called on him... the refs suck man, they totally take Yao out of the game and that needs to be re-addressed over and over by the rockets organization until something gets done about it...

another thing i noticed, the rockets not only suck at getting Yao the ball, but numerous times when swift would make a cut or flash inside the lane wide open, the guards would swing around the perimeter instead of downlow to him... Swift himself could have had a lot more points if the blind guards of ours could get the ball down low....

last point, still too early in the season and we have a great team. I still and never have thought that JVG is the right coach for the type of team we have, but with the talent we have it may not matter in the end. The only thing that disturbs me is the refs. Early in the season Yao was playing extremely aggressive and getting the right calls. Now, the opposition is starting to play cheap ball ( i mean hands all over yao, pushing, shoving, flopping) and the refs are calling all the BS. This went on all last season, which is the reason for JVGs calling out the officials inthe playoffs, but if it continues to happen, then the NBA is not letting Yao reach his potential. I feel sorry for the guy, he doesn't know what to do out there bec the refereeing is so freaking irratic and inconsistent.

    New Starting Lineup:
    Yao
    T-mac
    Head
    Swift
    DA

I think this is the best starting Lineup to get us off to a good start..Any other suggestions ?

on the bright side, 4 rockets in (admittedly low) double figures, and LH almost made it 5. Extremely well-balanced lack of scoring.
