Clutchfans Game Thread: Rockets @ Celtics 1/7/2009

i don't care about a matchup, or anything like that. first of all, the celtics are coming off a back-to-back. they just played the bobcats. i like the matchups, by the way. ESPECIALLY if mcgrady plays. i have a funny feel that McGrac will play in this one. for christ's sake, we don't have battier or artest, we NEED him, lol. that will make the matchups OKAY. borderline even. we can win this one. p.s....they just LOST to the bobcats. two teams that are playing horribly meet eachother. either one will snap out of it, or both will continue to play horrible and it will be an ugly game (highly possible), or both teams snap out of it, and rockets win because of MING, 112-107, after 1 overtime. book it.

 

ain't artest supposed to play in this game? i think i heard bill worrel say that on tv tonight.

 

i assumed he wouldn't i hope he does, though. hope we have all 3 of our guys.

 

may not need em though. celtics have been struggling. rondo has NINE turnovers (career high) last game

It looks to me like the Rockets are having chemistry problems. My guess is that there are serious soap opera issues going on inside the team now. You can't beat the Celtics with that stuff going on.

lets be realistic guys, Rockets are not going to blow out the celtics, the celtics are at a season low right now, losing 5 games since their 19 game winning streak, however they unlike the rockets will bounce back with fury...realistic score guys...

Boston is gonna take adventage of us, they are gonna HAVE FUN. I expect a blowout.

I am sick of those missed games by Tracy, Ron and Shane. This team is not going NOWHERE.

I don't expect us to win this game, but I am very interested as to how Yao will perform. After the last game there was a story that Yao said something to the effect of "see you in houston." Assuming that its true I personally feel like Yao must show up huge in this game regardless of everything else. Everyone wants to call him the best or second best center in the league, and he is always the starting center in the all-star game (fairly or not), but I personally think he is quite over rated and will be looking closely at how he plays in this game. I don't doubt his desire or heart but more so his ability and killer instinct. Just some thoughts.

 

he's doing what artest and battier are doing. they all can play, but choose not to depending on if they're sore, in pain, or "just not ready" according to battier.

battier simply had some small stuff removed from his ankle and shut it down for 5-6 games for no reason.

we need these guys back quick and playing EVERY night, even if they struggle.

 

Yes I realize the game is in Boston either I am misremembering the quote from Yao, or Yao was confused as to where the game was.
