    is there some count of tommy points or does he just throw them out during the game willy nilly with no lasting effect? and by tommy count i don't mean some obsessive fan who actually keeps track. tommy points don't really mean anything if they don't keep a total.

    something that i just found out is that they called a timeout because someone had some blood on them. This is happening at the N.O. game at the same time. weird.

    i don't think they do. it's just a gimmick this guy has so he can stay on the air.

    good point made by tommy BTW:

    yao doesn't know how to block shots. he tries to block the shot while the person shoots it, so he is called for the foul. if he would wait until the shot is released he can get a good look at the ball and swat it.

    That may not work for Yao. Yao doesn't have the quick reaction and jump ability.

    That is basically instinct and skill... its hard to "teach" somebody that.

    Nobody ever taught Hakeem to do that... and he was probably the greatest weak-side, jump after the shot, blocker ever.

    i think it would work...at least he won't pick up fouls because he brings his arm down during the shot. the worst that can happen is he misses the ball but by keeping his hands up he alters the shot which IMO is just as good as a block.

    you are correct too. you can't teach shot bocking but you can help with little tips like that one.

    I don't have a good feeling about this game... for now.

    Finally... Yao got a foul call. Blount wound up and pushed the hell out of him on the previous posession.

    that missed dunk by Ming was not a miss.

    The replay showed the guys hand all over his preventing the dunk.

    Bug guys never get these calls -named Ming.
