man as a formal athlete i just hate the losing mentality...

if some are so sure we're gonna lose, why not put in $100k and bet on the wager line? you might as well make some money...

if some are so sure we're gonna lose w/o a player, why not fold and start our rookies and the 2nd unit? that way at least they get some experience and we as a team might be better positioned to the 2008 draft?

 

Three predictions:

1) Rockets beat Celtics.

2) GARM is convinced we're better without T-Mac.

3) Rockets lose to Knicks.

 

I would love for our Rockets to win against the Boston Celtics but having seen both teams playing recently ,I say that to win the Rockets would have to have a full team- no T Mac injury or Yao Flu and Boston would have to be so over confident that they take us for granted and make many mistakes.
With a sick Yao and a lame McGrady we could be as they say in the Hunting Lodge- 'sitting ducks'- hope not and that we can give a good accounting of ourselves.

 

Adidas: Impossible Is Nothing>>>Garnet injured in the 1st quarter, followed by P, and then, Ray.....>>> we will win by 20+

4) After loss to Knicks, threads about trading YAO overwhelm the forum.

 

ive thought about it a thousand ways...

and they all lead to us losing by 25 or more points.

how ironic to use TMac's own commercial slogan while that little p***y is pouting at home rite now under pretense that he has a great big boo-boo to attend to

 

Yao has a great game, but the Rox still lose. All over again, haters come out starting threads how Yao, unlike Mac-lazy, couldn't carry this team, how this is still Mac-lazy team, and most of all why we can't build this team around Yao.

 

Just a thought, is it too soon to start a postgame thread?

 

Maybe Yao will be got in foul trouble by KG.

We got to be realistic about this and know there's a minimal chance the Rockets will win tonight. That is if they all come out with fire, determination and a 100% effort.
I hope Adelman will grab this opportunity to let Scola start and show what he's worth against KG cause i don't think Hayes will stand a chance. Scola can at least chip in 20+ pts which Hayes clearly cannot at this point.
Rafer needs to be hot tonight and score at least 15 pts.
Yao has got to lead the team like Olajuwon did and demand the ball. Force some double teams and hopefully Head, Battier and Rafer will get hot from behind the arc and drain some threes. Also Yao has got to get 30+, block some damn shots with his humongous body length and get a lot of rebounds.
I hope Adelman will start Head at the SG position instead of Wells because Wells is definetly not good enough to be a starter.
Last point i want to make is they've got to run the fast break. Yao has got to stay home to rebound and kick it out as fast as he can to run the fast break.
If they play the slow tempo i've seen them play against the Raptors they can forget it.
(sorry but it's the only full game i've seen here in Holland, so don't jump on me if they're already picked up the tempo)

 

I honestly think we've got a shot.

 

I'd love for us to win but to be realistic I think we lose by 20.
