Ugly win, Yao looked like he didn't want to be there, but who cares, a win is a win. And thats 9 straight. We are almost there....

after thinking about it longer i think this was an EXCELLENT WIN! yao and tmac were terrible shooting but we still dominated a solid team on the road that was looking to start the 2nd half of the season strong. i like it. granted we can't afford that kind of shooting from t-mac and yao but it was great to see the team be able to over come that handicap.

do u guys notice how completely different tmac plays at home compared to on the road?

tonight his shot is off just like it was the past 4 games. and yet he was still very aggressive looking for his shot.

in the home games, when he's off, he just wouldn't shoot anymore.

i hope he can bring the road mindset to the TC also.

although he was off in the first half, his aggressiveness in the 2nd half paid off as he made a lot of key plays in our run.

    Ridiculous

That was NOT an ugly win. Just because our 2 bigs struggled shooting?

We attacked the basket, hustled, defended, and role players, esp Alston... more than showed-up.

Wow! I have to give rafer some credit these past games! He's been on a roll scoring. Hopefully he doesnt go on a long slump like history dictates!

He was also taking it to the rim, taking the mos FTA I have seen from him in quite awhile. he was alos getting iso's and plays called just for him off ball. This is the T-Mac I like to see more of as he will be more consistent with his shootng % if he gets these kinds of looks night in and night out.

BTW, did you notice how much more explosive he looked? The All Star break treated him VERY nicely!

All these people ripping Yao is ridiculous. The guy made all 10 of his freethrows and grabbed 14 boards. And that shows that Yao didn't want to be there!?

Win is better than most think. Scola is everything people thought he was gonna be. Rafer coming on strong, been playing out of his mind recently. Yao with a terrible game but he has those rarely anyway.

On a side note...how crazy is this western conference? A win by Denver and a loss by Utah could shoot Denver to 4th spot and would put Utah at risk of the 8th or possibly 9th seed. Any game between any of the top 9 western teams should generally be considered a playoff game considering the crazy stakes these days. Should make for the best second half to a basketball season in recent memory.

Mac has been on a 5 game slump. Hopefully he gets off from it when we play new orleans!

um no. outside of the last layup where he just took hughes off the dribble, his ballhandling was very suspect; he still looks awkward around the rim. but i don't mind those things. they'll come back as he plays more minutes (and he continues to play the ENTIRE 2nd half--i guess adelman wants him to improve his conditioning FAST).

i just want to see tmac play with the same mentality at home as he does on the road.

and yao is the complete opposite. he's much more comfortable at home as compared to the on the road.

we need both guys to play at their best EVERYWHERE (the garage, hotel, clubs--bring their A game everywhere they go ;) )

Wow, even after Yao's horrible shooting night (3-17) he is still 40-77. Which means he was 37 - 60 before this game. (!!)

We are OFFICIALLY the hottest team in the league since Detroit lost tonight after their 10 game winning streak.

As much as there are people trying to take a dump on T-Mac and Yao, they still had solid games. McGrady, 17 points 8 assists and 2 blocks and Yao 16 points 14 rebounds 3 assists. A lot of teams would KILL to have their superstars put up numbers like that if they were having an offnight, especially on the road against the defending Eastern Conference champions.

Boy, the Celtics have taken it to another gear since that slow start. Utah still holding on against Golden State 67-64 with the half about a minute or so away from ending.

A win. Not a good win. But a win. We'll take it. Now let's hope Denver and Golden State lose.
