Clutchfans Game Thread: Rockets @ Cavaliers 11/19/2025

Good win against a playoff team. Starting to stack them up now. Milwaukee, Orlando and now Cleveland. Need to get some vs the West though. Nuggets will be a true test

 

KD is pushing 40 and playing on 1.5 Achilles tendons. He’s not putting much pressure on the rim at this point. It’s going to be mostly jump shots.

 

Not gonna lie but I had my doubts but putting in Holiday over Reed was the right choice. Reed wasn’t feeling it tonight and don’t want to take away his momentum by forcing the game into him.

 

Well, we played..... 2/3 of a good game?

I know these moments are maddening, sometimes I just don't know how we become so bad, but glad there was enough of a buffer to pull it out.

Rockets played like a championship contending team tonight - even though the other team came back from being down 22, we still matched them step for step down the stretch and had an answer for everything.

Big props to Aron Holliday for staying ready and stepping up clutch today. He's definitely making a good argument for more playing time for the remainder of the season.

 

Doris knew everything bout the Rockets back in the day. She didnt even know what a flamingo is now. sad.

Sengun & Holiday

 

Ime just didn't want the game to get boring, had to give the national audience something.

 

Jabari missed a bunny but hit a big three and played good defense when it mattered.

Amen was weirdly off around the time, but harassed Mitchell all night and was every bit as good as his all-defensive self last season tonight.

Reed left his feet to make some passes, and made some young player mistakes…but hit the shot that turned the momentum in our favor.

Alpi makes Evan Mobley look like Isaiah Mobley (who’s playing in Turkey right now, ironically)

And Aaron Holiday with the best game of his season so far. How cool was that??

It’s no fun if we steamroll everyone…we’d never see what our guys are made of. And they’re made of good, tough stuff!

Fun game, a lil sweaty but ultimately the better team won.

 

I'm not really a fan of the minutes Udoka is giving Durant and Sengun.

 

Glad we won in the end. Alpi been incredible.

long term i really dislike the extremely short leash for Reed. He did struggle some against the physical defense but that was during their run, when everyone was struggeling.

Adams missed everything around the rim but got 28 minutes.

I think the sooner we let Reed play through a rough stretch to give him a chance of going through it, the better it is. We need a good shooter like him.
It’s shortsighted coaching imo

 

And there are people out there who still think Mobley is better than Sengun. Laughable,

 

You know, I considered tonight a really bad game by KD, but it would have been a good game by Jalen.

What a difference a year makes

yeah you're right. i hate he is so old because Amen is not taking a jump.
