Comments by Bill "Mr. serious " walton after the game:

This must be the worst blown-out basketball game and longest garbage time in history, even the will-be-basketball-rule-changing Yao ming who's a freaky genius giant from the people's republic China becomes useless in the game and turns out only to be the comedy element in the meaningless garbage time. A game like this totally destroys the reputation of the whole NBA. Are we witnessing the turning point of the whole NBA business? From the gifted Bill Russell to the almighty Jordan, no one could have imagined the situation that the game could be transformed into such an insipid extent by the Houston rockets that there will be no men left in the gigantic united center right in the second quarter. To save his business, David stern will have to make a dicision by tomorrow morning: Dismantling the annoying Houston "destroying" Rockets, get back the fans back to the stadium; or dismantling NBA, setting up an alternative league like Pingpong, making the competition more fierce like real professional sports; Only by this way David's revenue will be better off.

    Sorry, You are screwed, Bill:D :D :D

Anyone else notice Yao Ming has dropped to being the THIRD leading scorer on the team now?

    There's a new enemy in China, and it's Mike James, b****! :)

I agree with the Bobby Jackson comparison ... I can see some similarities there. It's only been two games, but James has a good shot and is quick. I think he's going to be a terrific contrast to Sura. The best thing about the Rockets is they can beat you in different ways. If Yao showed up consistently, this team would be very difficult to stop. 11 boards combined in 3 games though is pretty sad.

so for the 1 & 2 96 minutes split it 30 minutes each for sura, james and wesley, let barry catch about 16 minutes filling in at the two and the 3 (behind tmac).

Hey lhblplghlpl (aka brush) and tigermission:

between the two of you you can keep me medicated:

brushy can prescribe and tiger puts the pills in the bottle....

I like both of you, I think you both are very smart.

I can see clearly now the pain is gone....

    :D

LOL. When the "Mike James is ball hog  " threads start, I'll be ready.

BTW, what did Chandler do when he got that tech? I was barely paying attention since it was a blowout and I just heard Bill say something about "he'll get fined for that."

I like you guys jocking MJ :D

But how about we wait more games to make the judgement :)

At this point of his career, I don't think he could suddenly become
an all-star. He'll have as many good days as bad days.

Oh yeah baby! I am sooooo glad we pulled off the deal for James. In the offseason, I figured he could be our starter, but with Sura playing so well before the injury JVG has to give Bobby the nod. James has proven he can come off the bench too.

I know it's only one win after losing 3 straight, but it's games like this that could really light a fire under a team. If you look at it, we're one pissed of Yao away from being a legit contender.

Yao needs to stay on the court by 'slacking-off" a little on defense.

Matt Jackson said that Pau Gasol is going to have an MRI on his foot. He might be out for the year. Haha. Grizzlies just gave him a max contract.
