Rockets front line will be neutralized, back court will run wild, a lot of TOs by both teams. At the end,

    Bulls: 98
    Rockets: 86

That's why I'm a realist, not a pessimist. I looked at the teams around the Rockets and realized most of them we're competing with are better. I noticed we're playing the same (or worse) type of ball that took us out of the playoffs last year. I accept that Yao is not dominant enough this season and that our guards might never learn. I basically expect to finish low in team assists and high in TO's for another season. If I'm a pessimist then I'm pulling this out of my ass. Sadly I'm drawing these conclusions from our play last season and our play so far this season.

I know you're going to say we looked good in our first game. Well, we had good games last season too, just a lot of bad ones too. We said no excuses (well JVG did any ways) and take every game seriously, yet we still loses to the likes of Memphis. Memphis is not a good team by any stretch of the imagination and I don't think I'm changing the laws of physics by saying we have much more talent than they do. So think about this, if the likes of Memphis and Seattle are the teams we're going to compete for the final spot with and they play much better than us, what makes you think we'd make it in?

by saying that the grizz are less talented than the rox, and that they will gain a playoff spot over us is pessimistic because you you predict the worst- that the rox will not improve. if you were to say that memphis was superior to the rockets and would therefore beat us out, you would have an argument for being a realist.

Let me ask a question here. How exactly does an assist work? Let say that Yao pass to Francis and he shoots it's an assist for Yao. BUt let say that Yao pass to Francis and Francis put the ball on the floor once and shoot, the assist doesn't count? If this is so that's why this team is so low on assists since players tend to dribble and dribble.

You know what with the Grizz, they got a sucky team. C'mon I think we can admit that much. But the other thing is though, after Hubie Brown was hired, I can see a legit change. I can see that their teamplay got better, their defence got better, of course, having Jerry West as GM doesn't hurt either. I simply don't see that for the Rox. People said oh Yao was a rookie so it takes time for the team to get used to him, well it took less time for Hubie to turn the Grizz, with a far less talented team, around. Rudy T had almost a full season (minus the fired 6 games that Yao sucked in) and now it's JVG's turn. So we had a full year to change things and all that amounted to squat. Like I said, I don't expect things to change over night, but I think I can expect one small step per night, eg. less TO, more assist as mentioned above. I don't even see that right now. Moochie Norris got worse from last year and I didn't think that was possible. So after all that rambling, my point is, I won't take that the Rox are playoff bound until they can play at least semi-decent consistently.

yes im making of the fact he mentions the cold climate.

I've never heard of such a thing. A basketball player implying they have the weather as a possible obstacle to their success.

But im not suprised. This is the same type of thinking that considers chicago a tough team, and the type of thinking that thinks the odds are stacked against the Rockets as far as making the playoffs this year. Its not funny but disappointing.

so memphis sucks but they have a great coach and great gm? the rockets have better players and it is rudy and JVG's fault that the players play selfishly?

    A possible audio link

It is not their flagship station but it does list this game in its schedule.

Audio Link Here Click on the "WGEM-AM Live" button.

The site says, "At this time we are only streaming local sports.", and on it program schedule it list the CHI. vs. HOU. game tonight.

Now I'm not sure if you need to log on at least 30 minutes before the game like the other audio links that I have posted. I'm kind of confused about it because of the NBA restrictions (That's why you need to log on at least 30 min. before with the other links) but this site says it will stream the game.

I don't know, maybe you should just log on at least 30 min. prior to the game and if you get nothing then try it at game time.

Just like before I hope this helps the out of town fans.

If you try this link please post at let me know if it works-Thanks

While I am not convinced that Steve is quite ready to give Yao Ming his due I do think that he will be much more of a team player tonight.

I think over all the Rockets will have a good game and Yao Ming will be his usually efficient self. I don't think the Rockets will turn the ball over as much as they did against Memphis and Yao Ming will get more shots just based on that.

    Rockets win 98 to 88.

Yao Ming will get 28 pts 11 rebounds and 2 blocks

Steve will have 21 pts 6 assists and only 3 turnovers.

I think Jim Jackson will come to play and dominate the old worn out selfish sorry ass Scottie Quitten.

Anybody remembers last year's results when we played at Chicago. We lost that game by one point or something! If we can get this one, the loss to Mem at houston can be offseted. Go Rox.

    80: 88 Rockets lose.

Yao Ming gets into foul trouble early, managing 15 pts and 8 rbs,

    maybe a T :D
